Don't knock a bender guitar, Jimmy Page has two of 'em. One is the Botswana Brown Tele, the other is his red Gibson Les Paul (The one played during Whole Lotta Love on The Song Remains the Same movie).
Jim Holmberg That's the douchiest comment ever. Inform yourself what a B-Bender / G-Bender is instead of assuming that somebody misspells Fender and thinks that Les Paul is a Fender model. Never laugh about sb making mistakes, especially when you are the dumb.
do you have a guide for installing this on a fender telecaster? I'm in touch with a luthier and he's advising me against this sort of mod but im hell-bent. Please help!
how much of a difference do you think the string benders make? is sufficient bending technique enough, or do you think you need one of these for those deep pedal steel sounds?
There are definitely things you can do with the string benders that are impossible otherwise. Depending on how you have the string benders set up, you can bend two strings up a whole step and/or a half step simultaneously and independently, you can lower the pitch of an open string while bending another string up, etc etc. You can also add bender bars to the bridge unit to allow bending on as many strings as you wish.

You'll need a stringbender--this one is a 2nd and 3rd string mechanism--to bend notes inside a chord. For a Tele player like me, they're perfect: an effect that is purely mechanical (not electronic) that demands practice to perfect.

The bender bars swing out of the way so they're only in position when you need 'em. This guitar is up for sale on www.DestroyAllGuitars.com and they have some pics with the bars swiveled out of the way. The Lollar Gold Foils are copies of Japanese-made Teisco pickups from the 60's. Your Harmony pickups are USA-made DeArmond Gold Foils so they're a bit different design. Lollar does not make a DeArmond copy but Mojo Pickups in the UK, Novak and Kline are all making copies of the USA Gold Foils.
That sound is mystical and delicious.. A hell of a demo indeed.

Are you able to palm mute still with the bender on or does it get in the way?
Is there any extra routing required to install the multibender in a traditional T style?
No, but you do have to add a few extra screw holes

For a Tele-style guitar, the Certano B&G bender is a newer option that’s much easier to install and less invasive. You can find them on Instagram
