I've owned the ST 1100D and the 🔥 mojo 2K. Great bang for the buck. Nothing wrong with Chinese products. I have 2 Harmony 1500.1's on 3 Harmony Carbon 12's. All Chinese, been banging for 2 years strong. Turns heads everywhere I go. Amps dyno over 2k. They're CT Sound 2k clones. Great video.
Memphis was what put car audio on the map in Tennessee back in the day they were in every electronic express , radio shack etc. still make badass products last system I had before going inside was a pair of L7's with a Memphis 2500 and it was the hardest hitting thing in town.......10 years later subs are massive amps are so big it's ridiculous and Memphis didn't adapt to the SPL lvl of most companies back in the day Memphis and kicker were head to head now sundown,deafbonce and others have taken over and Memphis is still in the SQ area I think the mojo is there biggest sub I've seen but yes they have been around a long time and build good quality subs and amp like kicker that's why they have a price tag like kicker your getting the extra bells and whistles that makes the amp perfect for daily driver setup that constantly slams and will last a long time I've had two Memphis amps before and both outlasted the car they were in and eventually went to a new owner but I would rather pay double the money for a great kicker, Memphis, diamond audio something like that that I can abuse and it's going to last and not over heat or burn out something than pay half the price and my amp last a year or two at most why don't people like quality all they want is something that is going to push a massive amount of power get hot as hell and constantly have a eye on it and give it breaks etc to cool off no way not for me I have two kicker CXA 1800.1 in my trunk and neither even get warm let alone hot and I play full tilt boogie for anywhere from a half hour straight every day back and forth to work and I drive to ATL twice a month 41/2 hours one way and I go to the max on my Atlanta trips and two years later everything in my trunk works like its brand new thats quality but to each his own
Back when I was in high school (late 90's early 2000's) I was one of the VERY few to have a decent paying job after school hours ( worked for a tree service, climbing trees and bringing them down) and was always into car audio and wanted to go a different route than everyone else at the time ( i.e kicker, Infinity, mtx and so on) came across Memphis and got the 250/1 Mclass amp , HP 12" sub in a ported 30hz tuned custom made box with all Mclass coaxials . Sounded amazing and no one in my area had ever heard of Memphis. Now , these days that's what most people have. I still have old school 250/1 and 500/1 Mclass amps
In late 99-2000 I had a Memphis Belle 1000 watt amp on two audiobahn 12's on a fourth order in a nissan 200sx se-r. To this day I have still haven't heard a two 12 setup that loud. That setup would set off car alarms driving down the street. That was the only amp I've ever sold that I regret selling. That little amp was a beast.
@PatientXero607 efficiency iam not a comp guy wall builder efficiency is key for everyday street beater the industry nakes u think a 10k amp go be louder in cases true. but if u have a proper built box tune to your music. proper volume with displacement and decent electrical will be amazed what 1k or 1.5k sounds like and will be in the 140 or low 130 over a period of bass drop and less strain . power is cheap . u need the power to move these big subs inefficient. nothing wrong with that but a amp pushing clean power and efficiency will last because it's not demanding much from amp and good electrical . impedence rise is a killer. in real world applications votage drop heat .

They aren’t quite as quality as they were 20 years ago, but stout. Not sure about the subwoofers, anymore, either. But they used to be badass as well. The MOJO series was their top of the line series.
Memphis was one of the top of the line brands in my area 20 -25 yrs ago lmfao I mean you had to have money to have a Memphis sub. I put a Memphis mojo mini 8 in my wife’s car. Beautiful premade enclosure and after break in it bangs.

The reason why we don’t hear much about other good companies is because most people in car audio and in general are sheep just following what the next guy is running no research or nothing basically that’s how the world is a bunch of followers that can’t think outside of the box. All it takes is for some idiot to go pump 30k into 2 highly inefficient jumbo magnet subs and watch the idiot followers come!
If you don’t have a dealer near you that’s probably why you haven’t seen much of them. They held out for a very long time on going to online retail to protect their brick and mortar dealers and still only have extremely select authorized ecom partners. Their Power Reference line is arguably one of the best entry/mid budget options in the industry in terms of price to performance and versatility.
Kudos to them for holding out on the online sales. Nowadays agree they have to sell online because that’s where we are now. I like Memphis stuff I may try and do some more items.
Had Memphis (formerly Fultron) subs and was pretty happy with 'em. Two Power Reference 15"s powered from a PG QX350.2 and later a JL 300/2 in a box too small for 'em. Paid $100/each brand new, local retail
I havent gotten any memphis gear in a long time. Last time I got a pair of the 16-PR1x1000 amps gain matched to a a pair of 15s each amp running one coil per sub. Got around 1300 watts out of each iirc. Those amps still work fine to this day. Both sitting in my mini truck which isnt on the road right now but I go run it about 2 times a month. Used to run the tc9 based memphis subs way way back too. Was good stuff though Idk that id run much of it today.. maybe that subs with the 7.5" coil or something.
What's up fellas I have 2 of these strapped on 4 alpine type R 12's and it did 9,560 watts and a 165.8 dB before I melted 3 type Rs but I have 4 15" mojo subs I have to build a enclosure for in a Ranger blow thru I'm very happy with my memphis mojo pro amps they won't let you down that's for sure keep on bumping from Cincinnati
@chriscarroll3635 in a 2003 ford ranger ext cab and I have pictures to prove it I used a mini bass meter and a AAM-1 ON the dash and it was a hot day and that bass meter the meter reads high in the heat but it still said it and mater the meter say HI a few times believe it or not don't really care
Exactly ! Memphis is not as well known as other brands but they are as high quality as any on the market. I've been using Memphis since 2003 and never had an issue. Always have had quality. Right now I have the MJP 1000.1 and MJP 800.4 with a MJP 12"DVC@1ohm and 2 sets of MClass 6.5 components.
I don't understand at this price and size and power there is no silent fan to help cooling. It has some venting on the bottom, but none for the top. But Memphis makes good stuff for the most part. It just never hurts when running that kind of power for the longevity of the amp.Use of a quality LOC like from Recoil or Kicker that doesn't distort the signal would help it run cooler though. Has a nice number of large capacitors.

Smart 3 bass hits the lows better than the smart 3. I have both and have done back to back testing. Under 30hz smart 3 bass puts out way more. Regular smart 3 falls off at around 30hz. Video already in the works :)
You get what you pay for with Memphis for the most part. I've only seen one bad amp in the 20 years they've been around. The same performance can be had for cheaper, but their customer support makes up for the difference.
Memphis used to be the shit i used to have a double basketed memphis lvs 15 back in like 05 their amps have always been solid but thier biggest subs are very small compared to alot of main stream subs today
i dunno how accurate this is, but i was told wayy back when that memphis was better for SQ and if you wanted raw power it was all about rockford fosgate. i know SPL setups anymore have moved on to sundown and mmats and taramps and such but i wonder if the memphis for SQ thing still stands.
Good quality. Typical Korean design (Chinese built but Korean design) - Memphis also has some more modern amplifiers with the wireless bluetooth remote (VIV series) which are similar to Kickers KXA series line of amplifiers... but both of those stopped being made after COVID... hopefully that changes and they start making them again. I want to see the gut shots inside of a Memphis VIV series super bad... but they are expensive so I have not been able to get my hands on one yet.

I had SHP12 subwoofer and old studio class monoblock back in 2000. traded the amp but still have the woofer running.
I had a chrome Memphis belle 5 CH back in the day...very good single amp setup...2 kicker solo 15s
$449.95 tops. Too many other just as good brands that are cheaper to pay that much.

Pretty good but, the Taramps 3k was tested some years ago it hit dynamic range of 5363 watts.
