Thanks Anthony. The video was very helpful for me. I watched it because I was tempted to just buy pre-sets without knowing how to make adjustments to get a filtered look. Luckily your video was here. I understand your apprehension towards Instagram and I share your views. If there's anything I can offer, it is what one the great life lessons for me- Survival is not about being fittest, but rather it is about how we adapt to change. That may seem like a heavy statement for something as trivial as Instagram, but I think it is true. Things like instagram threaten creativity by giving one a reason not to create or learn. The good part I think, is that it pushes others to go even further beyond what they thought was possible.

Haha, "put a lipstick on a pig", nice one Anthony Morganti 😀
I wasn't having a pop at you Anthony,I do agree that's its art and people will either choose me for there photographer or choose someone else based on there style of photos/composition/editing.also agree on there not being a "correct".....out of interest what cam do you shoot with mainly?
I'm a photographer and usually enjoy your videos mainly from your calming voice lol but this makes my blood boil!! I hate pictures that look like this and hate people that think adding this filter makes there photos look "better" or "professional" I know your said your fan of this and I can see why......it looks shit.to me it looks like a good picture that's had Vaseline smeared over it then stained with cigarets. Why make a photo worse when you can make it better.
dynaudiofocus First of all, thank you for watching my videos. I really do appreciate it. I did not say that I was a fan of it -- I thought I made it clear that I am not a fan of this. With that said, we are all entitled to our opinion and I definitely have mine but, I don't think it's my place to tell someone what to like. Photography is art and is not objective. Just because I like something or you like something doesn't mean it's correct because there is no "correct". If someone likes this process and wants to do it to their images, by all means I encourage them to do what they enjoy. I may not like it but I'd never ever tell someone not to do it especially if THEY like it. Just my opinion -- no disrespect intended.

dynaudiofocus I use a Nikon D800e for almost everything except wildlife photography where I like to use my Nikon D7000.
Why do you prefer using a d7000 for wildlife?
dynaudiofocus The 1.5 crop factor gives me that little extra reach.
great video, but why did u use 's" curve for one channel and reverse for the other two?
Thx Anthony!
