    Did you know about mitochondrial specific autophagy and how critical it is?

      @@DrCaseyPeavler Somewhat, but you pointing out the details like this is a great addition to what I have heard from Dr. Seyfried. I am fasting for a few days to reduce my seizures and fight my astrocytoma, so I appreciate the encouragement.

    For fission: 500 mg niacinamide (NAM).
    For fusion: 300 mg dihydromyricetin (DHM).
    For biogenesis: 20 mg pyrroloquinoline quinone (PQQ).
    For demethylase: 1 g of arginine alpha-ketoglutarate (AAKG).

      There are a lot of things we can take to affect mitochondrial dynamics. But I would bet you would get more benefit from fasting outside laying in the sun than all of those things combined.

      Thankfully a lot. Too many things to cover in one video. To start perfect your circadian rhythm, regular sun exposure, avoiding artificial light, exercise, intermittent or prolonged fasting.

    Hello Dr. thanks for this education. There are 2 chemicals that deal with circadian rhythm. SR9009 and sister compound GW501516. These are supposed to repair mitochondria. Plz comment

      I had never heard of them. After doing some surface level research, I would look for better and different strategies with higher index of safety and study. I would start with light and darkness. Just my $0.02

    I've listened to Tom Seyfried he got some ideas for glutamine inhibitors. Anything you can recommend supplement or something that could inhibit glutamine

    • @DrCaseyPeavler
      @DrCaseyPeavler  2 місяці тому +3

      Just to be up front, specific management would be between a patient and their oncology/integrative or functional oncology team. Glutamine is a most difficult topic than glutamine unfortunately. #1 we can live just fine or even thrive in a state of ketosis, glutamine not at all. #2 many of the glutamine inhibitors are experimental drugs or at minimum prescription drugs that require a willing participant with direct knowledge of metabolic therapy. Which is hard to find. #3 what is available is very difficult or expensive to obtain. With that out of the way there are natural things you can do, and I will be having many videos about this in the future that goes over them in detail. Exercise, prolonged fasting, EGCG, turmeric, and some others are going to be the easiest interventions to implement immediately. I know it’s nuanced but I hope it helps!

    I don't think 'evolutionary' should be in the definition. It is assumed; not seen in current scientific studies. Yes we can see or confidently deduce the current processes, which should be part of the definition, but that is apart from any historical (the evolutionary part) assumptions.

      Its hard to be relaxed to be honest. It feels very unnatural to be talking to a screen lol. I am working on it. I cut out a lot of my pauses to maximize value for the listener and not waste anyones time. I guess I will have to find a happy medium.

      @@DrCaseyPeavlerI really don't think you waste someone's time 😂. I watch videos of like an hour about gossip between celebrities, that might look like wasted time, but it helps me relax after a day of work. These videos like yours I watch when I crave knowledge, but it is really hard to watch when you are not carrying a notebook, I would have to rewatch a ton of times to maximize my understanding.
