I'm sorry to hear about your dad, Andy 🙏🙏🙏 I hope your new place has a nice outdoor area for your cooks. You definitely can't beat breakfast on the Blackstone! Side of rust or not... some people just can't help themselves. Stay strong, brother!👍🙏😋
@@Mankitchenrecipes Thank you very much Kevin! The new place definitely has a fairly large size backyard. It needs some attention but otherwise should be really good. Yeah there's always that one guy that has to say something. Lol Thanks so much brother! Have a fantastic day!
Sorry to hear about your dad bro, Hopefully things work out for you and him. I watch all your cooking videos, I hope you get back to it soon!! I need my Food Experience Fix!
You were a great son to your dad Andy and I loved it when he was in your videos. You can tell that you really loved him and he really loved you. Everything changes with time and I'm sure this was for the better no matter how hard it is for you. Take peace in how you looked after your dad when it was your time to do so...very admirable my friend 🙂 As for "mr rust" that person doesn't know anything about griddle grilling OR how a Blackstone looks over time. Mine looks like that in spots and it in no way have "rust" spots as your viewer comment on. Some people are just ignorant to what is being shown them.
Thank you so much Scott! Really appreciate the kind thoughts. Since he moved I make sure to call him once a day. I truly do believe it was for the better. Although I will say since you went up there he told me that their food has nothing on my food. That put a smile on my face. Yeah that rust spot guy sure is funny. Thanks for confirming that you see spots like that as well. It just happens. I'm not going to strip down and re-season the whole griddle just because the whole surface isn't black. Lol I don't know if you're in any of the griddle or Blackstone groups. People are so obsessed about the surface of their griddle more so than they enjoy cooking on it. Kind of blows my mind.
@@TheFoodExperience Blackstone's love oil and I make sure mine is oiled when I'm done cooking. As long as it doesn't "really rust" I'm ok with how it looks and so far, fingers crossed, I haven't had a full blown rust problem. Some people are way too picky 😉
@@MileHighGuyBBQ yep, totally agree. I always oil mine down as well when I'm done cooking. People are so picky. They want the surface to look showroom new all the time. Those amazing humans.
I was wondering who would make the rusty griddle comment. I’ve seen it on several vids but I know it’s the lighting. Nice cook. Best wishes on your move and best wishes for dad.
Yeah I knew it would eventually happen in regards to a rust comment. Sunlight does some funny things. Thank you so much! Really appreciate your comment.
@@rbiv5 Thank you very much! Yes I will be able to bring all of my outdoor cooking equipment. It was one of the concerns I had when choosing where to rent. I knew immediately that apartments were out of the question. So I found some cool folks who are renting out a bedroom. Stay tuned!
@@TheNudeAmerican That totally does make sense. The surface of this griddle had a slight brown tint to it as well which is why I think it shows through the seasoning especially after I scrape too hard on certain parts to get rid of stuck on marinade. Thank you so much for tuning in!
Awww..that's sad...I really liked when your dad ate with you....Well I wish him well in his new home at the assisted living facility. Your a great son and I am sure you helped him the best you could. Tell him when you see him again we will miss seeing him eating with you. Peace Andy
Sorry to hear about your dad, I am kind of in the same situation, my dad is 86 and I have been his caregiver for 21 years. He is starting to decline but the decision has yet to be made on whether he is ready to have someone came in or go to a home. It is definitely hard for adult children to have to make that decision. Take care.
@bethcolford2513 Thank you very much Beth! Yeah they are totally tough decisions. Sorry to hear you're going through a similar situation. Wishing you the very best.
Looks delicious, my kind of breakfast 👍

Hi Andy. Spectacular breakfast. Your new location will you be able to bring all of your tools and units?

Yeah the original color of my Char-Griller was brown so if it ever shows through the seasoning, that's what it is for me.
