    The new LaserWash does not use rotary nozzles.
    The dryer at the exit was saved from the original L4000 install as an additional exit drying service, although at the time of shooting, it was not being used in any of the wash packages.

    we just gutted out our laserwash4000 last week and are in the final stages of getting our New laserwash going here in scottsbluff Nebraska, frankly we cant wait!

    @coolguy095 The "swaggle" you're referring to is a configurable option in the software and was turned off for the video shoot so that the passes would be similar between the new LaserWash and the L4000 - showing the speed difference between the two when configured as close to the same as possible. The "mirror swipe" option was also turned off (although I'm not certain why as it would not add or subtract any time from the wash).

    Actually no. The adjustments for cycle speeds on the new LaserWash are the same as the L4000, and during the video shoot, the new LaserWash was matched in speed to the L4000. Where the time savings comes into play is in the smart dwell, the capability of rounded corners (which saves ~2 seconds of time for each corner), faster chemical changeovers, etc.

    That is because the dryer on the LW4000 was a LaserDri, not a MaxAir dryer.

  • @Pdqinc
    @Pdqinc  12 років тому

    @Rodj12341 The owner had a LW4000 in that previously with a stand-alone dryer and they opted to keep that stand-alone LaserDri in the bay with the new LaserWash 360. It was not setup to work with any of the packages at the time of shooting, however it could always be enabled at a later date as an exit service (2nd dry).

    @Thedddhomevideos That sound is from the LaserWash 360 - it plays a high-pitched sound letting the customer know to stop, accompanied by the LED 'X'.

    @xergon06 The L4000 did not have the 3X foam option, however we wanted to show that even with 3X enabled on the new LaserWash (an extra service that the this L4000 did not have) we could still beat the wash time and even get a 2nd car through with a basic wash.

    Well, a new Citgo station here got the new Laserwash and I tried it out... I suppose the best I can say is... awesome! I love what you've done with the system... great design with no tires, perfect arm positioning, and that overhead rinse arch is quite effective. One odd thing, on the machine I used, Flash Dry wasn't enabled - it was split up into two passes. Oh well. Does the new L-arm have bump sensors on it for the obstacle avoidance?

    so what are you using with the parts?

  • @Pdqinc
    @Pdqinc  12 років тому

    @mpollux2 There have actually been two G5 machines - the original LaserWash G5, then the LaserWash G5-S Series, which superseded the first.

    @Thedddhomevideos I'm not sure what noise you're referring to... around what time in the video are you referring?

    @tobaccofarmer4life The LaserWash was developed with the flexibility of using a stand alone dryer, integrated dryer, or both. The feedback we received from operators is that the FlashDry service does not slow down the wash process (we have reports of operators who use FlashDry washing up to 20 car per hour). The LaserWash can be programmed in many ways. After all, who knows your business and your customers better than you? We simply offer you the options.

    How does the purge work on the newer Laserwash?

  • @hyvahyva
    @hyvahyva 15 років тому

    Is the new Laserwash using the same rotary nozzles used on the G5 S-Series? I was going to ask why the Laserwind dryer at the exit there doesn't seem to be active, but I'd imagine flash dry has even better throughput than any drive-out method!

  • @Pdqinc
    @Pdqinc  13 років тому

    @douro20 Actually, the L4000 at this location does not have 3X foam.

  • @Pdqinc
    @Pdqinc  14 років тому

    @hyvahyva Yes, the arch has obstacle avoidance 360 degrees around the vehicle.

  • @Pdqinc
    @Pdqinc  12 років тому

    @mpollux2 It was very similar looking actually. The G5S had some improvements over the original that warranted the addition of a suffix to differentiate it, but from the outside they looked quite a bit alike. I can't speak to any future plans for that product - only time will tell!

  • @Pdqinc
    @Pdqinc  13 років тому

    @tobaccofarmer4life Yes, you can order the new LaserWash with or without the integrated dryer option, however without the dryer, the FlashDry service cannot be enabled.

    @Thedddhomevideos The speaker is mounted in the back of the in-bay directional sign (LED arrow).

    I think the reason that the car in the 360 stopped sooner was because the vehicle in the 4000 system had to drive onto a treadle and they wanted to show that the 360 had faster wash times with the virtual treadle.

      The 360 also had less chemical switch time.

    Actually I did notice something. The person in the 360 stopped before the one in the 4000 did.

    i tried out a tandem and a new laserwash but both did not have flash dry

  • @Pdqinc
    @Pdqinc  14 років тому

    @araflygare The video shows two Chrysler Pacificas because we wanted to show the washes using the exact same vehicle, thereby eliminating one more variable in the comparison.

  • @Pdqinc
    @Pdqinc  14 років тому

    @coolguy095 If you're referring to the spot in the video that says "Watch Arch", that was only to show that the impact retry system works everywhere on a vehicle, not just at the rear of a vehicle. The arch impacted an "obstacle", reversed course, moved further away from the vehicle, and tried the pass again.
    The changeover in chemicals happens much faster on the new LaserWash versus the L4000, so traditional purging is not necessary.

  • @Pdqinc
    @Pdqinc  13 років тому

    @douro20 Are you referring to the weep process (sometimes called a "purge") to prevent freezing, or a chemical changeover purge? In either case, you can contact us directly and we can explain how both happen on the new LaserWash.

  • @tobaccofarmer4life
    @tobaccofarmer4life 13 років тому

    Thats good because Im not crazy about flash dry, I would sooner have the car drive ahead into a seperate area with stand alone dryer and let next car pull in for wash, which allows faster process times.
