I've been in the car detailing business for over 30 years & have had to either repaint parts of cars or buff the cars out to get all the scratches out that these kind of car washes put on your vehicle !!
MR. GOOGLE You are wrong. Handwashing your car is worse for the vehicles paint and will make it so scratches are even more likely. These brushes are made out of a special material that doesn’t hold water. The soaps and chemistry also provide a lubrication for the vehicle surface so the brush isn’t hitting a dry car. If you want to guarantee a wash causing no scratches you put in high pressure arches at the beginning that will blast off the excess mud.

jeez, is it hard to ask for just once that a car to be at least dirty before it goes through a wash, and i don't mean just a bit of mud splashed on it but weeks worth of accumulated road grime, you know, like that would be a real world test of how good their wash system is.. all this upload proves is that your system can wash a clean car - BIG DEAL!!!
i work at a car wash, we typically assume people are smart enough to not suck up a valuable or something cause then we gotta dig through everything else people have also vacuumed to find say a ring or something. Its not fun

the rim-washer probably get dirty after some washing. So what if it starts cleaning other rims it can make scratches in your rims, because of the dirt in the hairs of it.
