For future reference: the bushings on the upper axle mounts, or pylons are the same dimension on the XJ, TJ, ZJ, MJ , and actually, WJ. The J's that have a TORX55 bolt on the upper is a 10mm bolt. All the others have a 12mm bolt. If you buy the bushings for an XJ and get 12mm grade 10.9 (grade 8) bolts and lock nuts, because you _Do Not_ want to reuse the smaller 10mm hardware or the bolts *WILL* come loose. You can put any bushing for any of the above mentioned models (w/Dana 30 axle) into the WJ, just get the right bolts. WJ specific bushings have a 10mm hole through the middle where as all others have a 12mm, it's the only difference.
Where did you get the ratchet strap? Is it just a standard one? Great vid guy! I have death wobble and have adjustable track bar on its way and also upper and lower control arms. I have replaced everything else on front end. Thanks!
This is true. That's how we end up with bolts over-torqued. Mechanic's rooky helpers overdo it and make the next mechanic's job harder. When you work on your own vehicles you have the time and incentive to do your best. I just changed the oil on my new(new to me) 2017 Grand Cherokee and the oil drain plug was clearly hammered on with an impact wrench. I have a limited warranty on this jeep so it will be a while before I have any new backyard mechanic videos for you.
Lining this up together is a SOB. I've fought it for 2 days now. I went and bought 8 ratchet straps tonight. I'm going to use all 8 to try an line it up.
What's that bushing you didnt have called? I was having my guy do all the control arms and he told me I needed that one but I dont know the name. He said from control arm to differential
The arms included some bushings. It was only the one bushing that I complained about in the video that was not replaced. This was my daily driver so I couldn't leave it in pieces waiting for parts. This is why this video is helpful. people can learn from my mistakes.

This video helped me aligned my axel to install my upper control arms. Mostly the come along. I thought i had to buy the adjustable to reinstall
If you're not replacing that bushing in the axle you're just chasing your own tail
You are correct. It just wasn't something I had on hand at the time of this video.
Great video. 1.5 hr start to test drive. THANKS

It was just what we had in the shop, nothing too special but this is similar to what we used: amzn.to/3N9dJjI
Funny how backyard mechanics use torque wrenches and professionals use impacts from prior experience 😂🤣 great video though.

Torque control arm bolts while the full weight of the vehicle is on the ground.
This vehicle has a 2" suspension lift and oversized tires. Things don't line up on the ground the same as a stock vehicle.
Or just jack up the axel to assimilate the full weight.
They do that so you wanna take it to dealerships for repairs same reason they don't come with adjustable control arms

'm not 100% sure because I didn't replace it but I think it's the "Lower Front Axle Control Arm Bushing"
@@ChrisDembinsky well he said he ended up getting it. I told him to source it since it wasnt in stock around here
Mine was called a chassis bushing kit by Moog.
The bushing they didnt replace on top of the axle is a Moog K3128 Control Arm Bushing Kit You can get them on amazon here. amzn.to/2ueEb91
Alguien sabe porque rompe los bochin en solo 2 semanas me dijeron que tengo q ajustarlos con el carro abajo
Replacing the arms without replacing the bushings. Wasted.

Your torque specs are for the wrong year pal
