The one the pet peeve that I think all barbers can agree on, is that walk-in that comes in all loud talking about “who’s the best barber in here? I only want the best cutting my hair.”

People who flinch everytime the clippers touch them and tilt their head towards their shoulder so you can’t get in there or see what you are doing.
Booking the wrong slot, stiff neck clients, and being late🤣 I often get all 3 in 1 client🤣

Some of my pet peeves as a old customer. Barbers being late to an apt, literally stopping in the middle of a cut to talk on the phone, smelly hands/hygiene, high prices for mediocre work. Started cutting my own hair off of UA-cam tutorials🙏🏾

I think outside of what’s already been said, a pet peeve I had was when clients want “an inch” off so you turn them around to visionary show them to get their input on that inch and then they say it’s either not enough or too much was taken off.

Also a HUGE pet peeve was when the client asks for a taper or burst fade and as you finish the cut they ask if you can convert it to a full blown fade especially with your next client waiting.

@@Seancutshair I would tell them that they’d have to book a new appointment since I gave them what they wanted based on the initial consultation (literally the whole purpose of the consultation is to ensure both parties are on the same page 🤣)

My pet peeve is client talking with alot of emotion. For example we’re having a good conversation and the client being so emotional in the conversation their face & forehead moves.

Aight my turn (customer). Barbers that don’t respect client time and skip over the appointment to cut their homies hair first. I’ve moved a lot in my life so I’ve always experienced preferential treatment for “veteran” customers. This shit is mad annoying. At least it narrows my options down.

I wouldn’t say so, but I do sometimes. We do longer appointments so not as much of a rush. Definitely don’t do it to a problem though

Hey sean great topic I personally hate when they dont know what they want so i look up photos show them the difference between a taper and fade and they’ll say taper for example and as im finishing up theyll be like “nvm lets try a fade” when i told them that would be double the cut, I was wrong…. I’m happy to say I’ve never done any of these things but when I was younger and regularly going to the barber every week I was constantly tired from working long hours, hanging out late and drinking and getting little to no sleep. Back then it was not uncommon for me to start nodding off in the chair. Not a good situation for a barber trying to give you a nice, even cut. Sorry Leon.
