For those who wonder what it tastes like, think about a slimy stinky expensive cheese. The smell isn’t that pungent but think about natto as soy bean cheese. It’s great for the gut biome and delicious.

LOVE LOVE LOVE Natto! Personally, I don't find it that stinky or smelly. Taste is very mild I find but def texture can be off putting for most people. I've eaten it with rice and scallions of course. And i've mixed it in with ramen and scallions (dry not soupy ramen), so delicious! Never as maki rolls, I will be trying that soon! I think that's a great way for natto virgins to try it. Thank you.
Tip: cut a small hole in corner of the container and squeeze the cover through it. It's less messy that way.
I'm an older American and Caucasian. Just started eating and making my own Natto (eat it straight, with just a bit of seasoning). I love it!
Love your video too! 😍
Is it sweet?
@Q. B. I just tried it today, it's like coffee to me. Nutty, beans, a little bitter, but not bad. Definitely better with other stuff.
Omg tried natto for the first time today and it was so good! Ran to UA-cam to see how else you could prepare it and came across your vid! Thank you 🙏
"That looks really Gross!" " But it's Natto!" Awwww... I love Natto.
My wife thinks I'm nuts.
Just made some Natto last night 🌙 it's still wrapped up in blankets, like a little baby. Will check on it tonight! So excited 🥰
I love natto ! 💙 I’m a quarter Japanese & I’ve been eating natto since I was around 4 years old as well! My dad absolutely hates the smell. He used to tell me to eat it outside or in my room lol
Just started a cooking channel after watching your vids for so long! Keep it up
This is an acquired taste. Took me a while to enjoy the texture and taste. It’s amazing with rice and egg
I usually add a little Wasabe in my natto along with a dash of Yamaroku shoyu (no others taste as good) and then mix it in my rice. Been eating natto for over 65 years now and I still love it Gonna have to try it on toast, that's looks pretty good!
I really want to try this. When you buy it, is it refrigerated ? Or is it safe to buy online and get delivered ? I honestly doubt I can find any store around where I live in France. If it's safe to buy online, any link to recommend ? Thanks!
If you don't want to make it (recipes online, you can even use black beans-although you need to buy bacteria for fermenting), you can buy it in Asian grocery stores (only Asian grocery stores-usually the largest stores sell them).
My first time having this was from my host family in Japan. I didn't like it at the time. But I got to appreciate it more when I was back at the States when my friend introduced it to me again.
I love natto!! I'm so happy with this video. People should be knowing how healthy this is :)
Used to watch my pops with confusion when he'd have it for breakfast every morning, fast forward 15 some years, I love natto and I'll be risking it at the grocery store tomorrow to get some asapppp! Love your stuff man, would love to get out there one day.
I will definitely try natto. Haven't tried it but always want to try something different. Love soybeans but this makes it interesting for me since I'm Okinawan, Hawaiian, Chinese. Thanks for the tips Taku and I will try those techniques as well as try to innovate something different using natto in other dishes
Watching you both eating Natto with such obvious joy has probably tripled it's sales! Can't wait to try it!
Korean American here and I freaking love natto! 💕
Just got 4 different types today. Very excited to try it for breakfast. Thank you!
I love natto. Usually like it on hot rice with a raw egg yolk on top
og nihonjin food bro good breakfast dont forget the shoyu!
Savory breakfast guy here: I am simultaneously repulsed . . . and curious.
as flair would say, be careful you might catch salmon-vanilla😉
Thank you for this video !
I live in japan for many years, and in the begining I liked taste (something closed to the caféine) but the texture... And I discovered the nattoast!
Now I eat some nattō everyday without pleasure and happiness.
When I was in Japan, I couldn’t do it... but I tried just straight natto, no tare or mustard. I might need to try it again and pick some up when I go to a Japanese market. Just waiting for quarantine to end :(
Never tried natto on toast, but tried it and surprisingly liked it. Real big thanks for showing me that way it's not bad!
I was FINALLY able to find natto in a store (same brand as you had in the video, the first one) and I'm waiting on it to thaw. I opened it just to see and it smells really good to me, almost like coffee. I'm gonna be so sad if I don't like it, I've wanted to try it for yeeeaarrsss
did you ever like it
This was such a cozy video! Which is great, because natto is a cozy food!
The only reason I wouldn’t eat this is because it remained me of spider webs and I have very bad arachnophobia
I am French and I LOVE natto with rice and some chives ... have to try adding kimchi it too ^^ 🤍🤎💙Thanks for sharing these other ways I have to try them too :)) Natto on toast with some avocado and chives would be good too 😋
I love how your girlfriend tries everything!
Thank you so much , I’ve been wanting to try it , but didn’t know how to eat it. Can’t wait to try it
I eat natto on everything! Natto Burgers!
Okay, I love natto but that is taking it a little too far.
I would try
I have tried adding Japanese additions. But DELICIOUS with salsa. Cuts the strong smell/taste.
It might taste great but notto looking to great 😀😀
His voice is so calming. ☺️
what about with a raw egg after coming home from a long night of drinking in Tokyo?
I tried it a few times. I liked it. bought it from Mom's Organic market. I used seaweed too and soy sauce, without rice (low carb)
Slimy is a hard texture for me to enjoy. Even if it tastes good I can’t help but think of snot.
I wish I could find it in the UK, I had edamame and the beans are really tasty, I thought they would be even better peeled and mixed with sauce, then I remember there's natto. Looks tasty.
I'm more concerned about her not liking shiso than her liking natto. how could anyone not like the shiso wrapped fried chicken at the family mart
Love your content dude! So inspirational to just go outdoor and on an adventure!
I would sub but
I am subbed!!!!!
👍thumbs up 👍
I just realised I havent been mixing it thoroughly enough, now it actually taste pretty good! even on its own.
Thanks for show me.
So all it takes is a cold day for her to finally cover up 😂
NATTO is one of best foods i have ever eaten. i have not had it in years Thanks TAKU
Step 1. Don't eat it while watching your favorite hentai.
Best vid on subject I've come across. Wanted to learn about it and thus vid was perfect
I tried Natto before and I like it, and I'm black, lol
LOVE LOVE LOVE Natto! Personally, I don't find it that stinky or smelly. Taste is very mild I find but def texture can be off putting for most people. I've eaten it with rice and scallions of course. And i've mixed it in with ramen and scallions (dry not soupy ramen), so delicious! Never as maki rolls, I will be trying that soon! I think that's a great way for natto virgins to try it. The rice and seaweed sort of masked the taste/texture/smell a bit which makes it more tolerable. New subscriber here! Master Hiro San got me here! Great content, entertaining and so educational too! Thanks!
