Custom Desk - Carved Table Legs - Beautiful Live Edge Tops
Hey everyone, just wanted to show off a project I've been working on for the past week. I used rough sawed Maple for the tops, and Black Walnut for the chainsaw carved legs of the desk. I had to do a lot of recutting to make everything fit, but the results came out great. I hope you enjoy and please hit the LIKE and Subscribe buttons to help me out. Below is link to where you can find some of the tools I used to make this. Thanks for watching.

Wood Spirit Tutorial - Chainsaw Carving Class
Переглядів 14 тис.Рік тому
Hello again! In today's tutorial we are making a wood spirit out of cedar. I have always enjoyed carving wood spirits just because you never know what they are going to look like. It is a longer video, but I felt it was necessary to show as much as possible to give the audience a good grasp on how to carve one. Chainsaws and other power tools will be used. Always be safe while using. Please hit...

Hi Jack, can you do a video of an Eagle wings up? If so can you do a video of how to carve it. Your owl video I connected with really good. I have been making some very cool owls and totems using what I learned from watching ur owl video. Thank you!!

Hi. Love your videos. Extremely helpful. Two quick questions. What are names of the two power tools you use after you are done with the chainsaw? Is that a Dremel of some sort? And is that a steel wool sander? Thank you so much. Take care.

Beautiful carvings! We have a wood carved bear that we got while on vacation in East Tn in 2011, the black and tan coloring has faded a bit and I would love to refinish it, could you tell me how to go about doing that?

Great tutorial. Though, I am curious why you almost seemed ashamed to use a dremel? My opinion is use what tools you need to get the results that you want or need. I'm very very new to chainsaw carving, so not sure if it's some rule or bad thing to use tools that help you create your carvings.

Fun video, thanks. Spinning it in front of your eyes just after cutting it risks a bit in the eye. I have often wondered about making various shaped sanders and never found an easy answer to the rear rubber backing piece. I noticed you use springy sandpapers in reverse. It strikes me whilst watching that perhaps side wall of an old tyre with it’s curved shape might do well to hold the profile of the sandpaper.

I sure like the way you air brush your projects! Im wondering if you use water based paint (craft store paint), oil based paint or stain. I'm just finishing a bear out of spruce and not sure how to color it,or maybe just color accents?

I started using water based paints. Let them dry and then go over with spar urethane. I like the results a lot better
