Thank you for your response, however I do have a question that what if I am doing a full time job and I am only updating myself with my country's relevant changes, which are very frequent in income tax, sales tax and corporate laws. Do they qualify or acceptable for my CPD ?? Thank you
HI Agnes, thank you so much for your briefing! Just 2 questions: 1. What are the free CPD resources that I can avail? 2. I'm a CFE as well so, is it possible to utilise the CPD hours of my CFE qualification towards ACCA?
Hi Annmol Thank you for the chestions 1) You can find free resources on ACCA website here www.accaglobal.com/uk/en/member/cpd-landing.html This will never be enough on a free basis to cover all verifiable units however you can include any relevant training (such us software training, webinars, briefings that teach you something new/update you on new developments ) that you have with your workplace so long you can prove you have attended it - email confirmation is enough or certificates. 2)I am not sure to be hones you will need to check this with ACCA by calling them up and they will be the best people to ask about it. Thank you and don't forget to share the video with those that might need it.
Hi Agnes,I came across this very useful video by you. Thank you as I am new to CPD.I am however struggling to locate the free CPD courses on the ACCA website despite following the steps in the video. May you please assist how i can locate them as I am currently not in a position where i can afford the paid onesThank you in advance!
Even if you access the free CPD units you will not be able to find what’s equivalent to 20 units (the verifiable ones must be backed up by some certificate or prove that you have done it). So you will end up getting some paid ones. Unless your workplace actively provides some trainings than that would count as verifiable units. Go to Acca page Members Find CPD and here you choose which one you can do Hope this helps
Thanks for the video, it's really helpful. How do we know how many hours to record for non-verifiable units, for instance, I took 1 hour to read an AB article and other person took 0.5 hours, then I can record 1 hour, right?
Yes, exactly, it does count in hours but it is difficult to prove how long will one take person to read vs other person. You need 21+19 units. 21 must be verifiable (you need to have a proof you did them ... i.e. certificate, or email confirmation etc)
Hey, is the split of 21+19 compulsory or can we have more of verifiable units. For instance I have about 32 verifiable units and 8 non-verifiable. Also, if I am reading a novel (not fictional) but informative, would that count towards non-verifiable CPD? Is it mandatory to click on complete once you are through with CPD for the current year?
@@creation_passionnee Hi The split has to remain as they ask i.e. you must have at least 21 verifiable units (with a proof of it if you are asked to present) and cannot be reduced as you have described. I do not think the novel you are reading can count, unless it is related to your accounting profession and you can explain how this benefits/ enhances your career. You can use a lot of free resources like articles or quizzes on ACCA website itself. Hope this helps
Hey Agnes, Thanks alot for the video it really cleared my doubts. I got my Membership Certifcate dated Dec'20 so sadly I have to declare my CPD for 2021 :( Anyhow thanks for yr video again, it cleared almost all if not all my doubts Cheers
Hi Agnes, Thanks for posting this video it was super helpful. Could you clarify for non-verifiable CPD if I am still required to fill in the columns: 1) why did you choose this activity? 2) what did you learn? *aside I know that I do not need to fill in the units & provide proof. Thank you :D
Thank you for your question. You do want to fill in all the fields as if you leave it out they might come back to you as these get checked and I think it’s 5 years that we need to hold the proof for. These are silly questions but yes do write the answers to them. Thank ps for watching
Hi agnes , thanks for those useful insight , and would like to seek for your advice - Would like to check for those online CPD courses provided in ACCA homepage is it HRDF claimable? -And what kind of evidence is needed if i attend other training platform?
Hi Yes online free ACCA CPD courses usually give you one verifiable unit per course (you get email with certificate after finishing each one). Evidence could be a certificate, email confirmation, completion approval, depending on how you get the CPC, or even email from workplace confirming you have attended a training would suffice. Are you newly qualified or close to becoming a member?
@@AgnesMann i’m newly qualified , just got my member in this month , so is quite doubt with the CPD declaration 😂 And for those articles in ACCA homepage can it be record under my CPD ? Or only courses can be recorded?
Hie Agnes, thank you very much for the video. However may you help me on how I can record the 19 non-verifiable units. Is this also done online like the verifiable units? If so how? Please keep on posting . This is very informative.
Hi Angela. Yes all of the units are recorded in the exact same way. Only difference is that you do not put any units in the place where it asks how many units are you claiming for this activity (say 3) and next to where it asks how many can you verify, you just don't put anything , also you don't need to put down any proof. (I explain this a little in 6:35 minute of the video) I hope this makes sense. Thank you for your kind words. I have few more ideas for ACCA based topics to cover so will be posting those soon. Thank you for watching.
Hey Agnes, just to confirm that as an acca student, they are not required to complete CPDs? Rather that we should just be focusing on our studies? (sorry this may be a stupid question, however woke up frantically in the middle of the night thinking i would have to complete this by the end of the year 🙉)
Haha I know the stress of being the student so I understand. No need for CPD whilst being a student. Also you will only start completing CPCs after one year of becoming a member. How far are you on your journey

@@idreeskhan1779 yes as you suppose to update for the relevant to you knowledge. So long it makes up for enough of verifiable units you’d be fine.

Last one- Is it sufficient to state "Certificate of completion"'? Don't we have to upload the certificate?
Hi no certificate need to be uploaded. But you must keep record of it in case acca will ask you to produce the evidence of verifiable units.

You cannot upload it. You keep it safe in the emails or on the cloud in case you need to prove it

So even once we done with Acca we have to still pay ?
Yes every year. It’s a membership fee to be part of a acca
Hi, if you go on a CPD course, do you need to pay for it?
Mostly yes although you can find some free ones (usually not enough to get you the amount of units needed for the verifiable points)
