The Midge and Lenny dance scene should have won all the awards
Midge & Lenny's date is one of the best parts of the show so far. It was perfect. I just love their chemistry & relationship and I CAN'T WAIT to see more of them together in season 4!!
It was a perfect episode. I really thought there'd be a kiss at the very end.
I don't think they'll ever be a thing, even tho I WISH. But at the end of the day, Lenny Bruce is an actual person who existed and he was married at the time, I don't think they can rewrite history there
@@flamethrow868 I think they've already rewritten it, because in the episode Lenny mentions alimony so I'm guessing they made him divorce already. Also it would make sense for him to be separated from his wife in the episode in which he sings "all alone". And in true life he was arrested for the first time only in 1961, while in the series we see him in jail in 1959, so I think they're not very worried about being true to history
@@mariepotter1468 I just checked his wikipedia page, and factually, he did actually get a divorce somewhere in the beginning of season 3. But in the 60', his struggles with drug addictions begin to show up and to be honest, that's one storyline I could do without (Midge being with a drug addict), especially since the show will end a few shorts year before he died of an overdose...
It can only be an ill-fated romance at best since Midge is fictional and Bruce died tragically young. She’ll probably realize in S5 that she can’t save Lenny from his demons and he’d only drag her down with him.
How is Midge and Lenny's date in Miami only an honorable mention?? It's, hands down, one of the most magical TV moments I've ever watched. 15 minutes of perfection that leave you speechless.
People say that the second season dragged a little because of the Catskills, but it's one of my favorite seasons! I love Midge's and Benjamin's relationship and I hope he at least makes some appearances's in this next season!
Yeah, season two started very slow, but I thought once they got to the Catskills, it turned a positive corner

My favorite line I can watch over & over again.. Susie: You're (Sophie) a star for now, but she's (Midge) going to be a God damn legend!. I can watch that line over & over.

Yes, I love that line too. It makes me wonder why they've never used the song Fujiyama Mama by Wanda Jackson during any of her scenes thus far because that needs to be her theme song and I think of her everytime I hear it.

Invalid list if Lenny isn’t in the top ten. The Miami date scene is extraordinary. I’d also offer up Lenny taking Midge when he’s on Miami After Dark.
My favorite moment is Rose and Abe’s reaction when Midge tells them Joel left. So funny!

I absolutely LOVE Zachary Levi! He was perfect in that role.
Yeah, I know some people are still rooting for Joel and some for Lenny. But Benjamin... I can't get over that break up.
There aren't enough Susie moments in this countdown. I love her whole situation in the second season, not only staying in the Weissmans' apartment, but also when she's up in the Catskills trying to book gigs for Midge and her roomies have a whole search party out for her because they miss her. All of this made my heart melt. ❤

There's a small moment before Midge and Susie goes on tour throughout US, when Midge asked Susie what she usually use to pack her things when she travel, and Susie answered "My imagination?". That is one of the most funniest dialogue I've ever watched in my life ❤️

no sorry but the best moments of the show are lenny and midge. The nightclub scene is the best scene and the new season, hotel scene between them both also amazing 👌

You definitely missed Midge and Lenny's come-to-Jesus meeting on the Carnegie Hall stage. It was so good - and Rose's recitation of Midge's routine. Those were some of the best scenes I've ever seen on TV.
This whole story was marvelous.
I am a little worried, based on the trailer, that the take away from Midge being fired from the tour is that she's being picked on for doing what she does best. She made an already very vulnerable person more so. I mean shooting her mouth off about Sophie Lennon was stupid. Sure she's obnoxious and crazy, but at that time she had not done anything to Midge. Hack though she may be, she is a successful woman in comedy who has unintentionally paved a little of the way for Midge. Sophie's agent was helpful, giving Suzie tips on the business, & he was persuaded to give them some opportunities. Lashing out at anyone who helps you is not only self-sabotage other people get hurt too. And yes, Sophie and Harry are awful, but Shy, he had helped her & he already had enough targets on him.
I feel like the show does a good job of not letting her get away with spoiled rich girl behavior. They make it clear that most of her mistakes come from ignorance rather than hate, and they make sure to educate her on it. I think they will address it seeing as Susie immediately knew that she had said something bad, and I hope I'm right because I totally agree with your point.
What about midge and Joel dancing in the street. Didn't he propose?

It is really a stylized production--as stylized as a Bob Fosse Production. I might add one the better moments was the pitch-perfect dance to "Pink Shoelaces"

i love how throughout the show you notice how she starts to sound more and more like a comic. Her voice and sentence delivery has changed so much since the first episode haha

It was BECAUSE of that talented actress that the whole thing was so excellent and not just a pratfall on stage. At least mention her name, which I believe is Leslie Fray. She is as responsible for the success of that scene as Rachel Brosnahan.

I heard of this show, tried to see the first episode and got bored of it on the first 15 minutes, that was about 2 years ago(i think), this video has made me want to see the show
Okay I have loved every season but this one, some good moments but come on now pick up the pace. I love that her and shy made up, but GIVE MIDGE A BETTER CHANCE!

In the process of watching series 5 episode 4 and what total TOSH, Midge is hardly in it and no stand up either, really disappointed with this series having waited so long for it to arrive
I would have liked to see a more serious conversation and not this. Less of the narrator for sure.
