I still love my Lansky deluxe sharpening system. I can literally get every knife that mounts up razor sharp! All my knives I sharpen have a mirror polish or as close as it can come to it.
Another type of knife sharpener I suggest is the worksharp guided field sharpener for $30. I've had it for a couple months and it's done me well. I normally like to keep mine super sharp so I'll do it 3 times a week or so and it works perfectly!
I have had my Worksharp guided field sharpener for a year and love it. As soon as I saw the Lansky knock off in the video I lost interest. My knives get used like the tools that they are and the can get abused regularly. That handy little package has put nearly all of my many sharpeners out of work!

I've never seen anyone use oil on diamonds, I've always been told water only on diamonds
Edge destroyed, that's laughable. I could barely see the chips in the blade.
What's laughable is the price of the kit can get similar products for 50 bucks... I wouldn't want to guess what it would cost if you just went to the hardware store LOL.
I don't have a macro lens to show it better unfortunately, but it was a very dead/dinged stretch, and s30v takes a while.
Bro you should use water with diamond stones. Now that you’ve used oil, you can’t clean it well unless you use kerosine. Water is optimal with diamond stones, including bonded diamond
The clamp doesn’t allow for sideways flex like the KME so this sharpener is not suited for flat grind knives 👎 the clamp on the KME can adapt with the edge of the blade as it get thinner so that the entire clamp make contact with the blade. Thx for the video.
That's easily fixed on any clamped sharpener.. simple dollar store drawer liner works great although depending on the rubber that comes with the system you might not need it..
