- LSU Baseball and South Carolina Baseball played the second game of their 3 game series in the 2023 College Baseball Season.

I have a combined 4 years of experience as a Baseball & Basketball Play by Play announcer, which is where I learned my skills for commentary/breakdowns.

Those Commentators did ZERO research on LSU. Earler in the game they mentioned this was the first time LSU came into a game 2 with some advercity, but not two series ago they lost the first game to Arkansas aswell..

It would be a shame if an excess of pitching injurious cost this team a chance to win a national title. Guidry’s development is encouraging, at least. We need Hurd and Little to settle down and figure things out.

How good a position would they be in if they wouldn't keep walking and hitting batters. LSU is dead even on hits if I'm not mistaken but yet south carolina has scored 7 more runs. Last night's game would have been close if we didn't keep walking and hitting batters and today's game wouldn't have been as close. Granted they walked a few batters too. It just seemed like every inning LSU was walking at least 1 batter and hitting another batter every other inning.

This is the part I'm not sure about. How do they reschedule Game 3? The fair thing would be a Tuesday game after both teams played a Friday Saturday Sunday series so both teams will be going with their 4th pitcher....would be a high scoring game.
We play USC Upstate today so a double header would not be idea.

Widen? What game did you watch? There were multiple missed strike calls that put the go ahead run on base for LSU. Balls in the same spot the struck multiple USC batters out all night.

Although if you asked me honestly, I believe South Carolina is overall the best College Baseball team right now. Won 3 series with top 5 teams at the time of games and even with 1 game to go with # 6 in the country! That’s with the pitching problems these last 2 games. Hasn’t been like that all year. Our bullpen has been pretty good,just need to find that third starter.

You clearly know nothing about SOS & rankings .
In baseball there is no such thing as winning every game you play. There are hundreds of data points that go into evaluating the strength of a baseball team. Sometimes bad teams beat good teams but one bad game doesn't really change much. Do you know LSU's team on base percentage? Or their team batting average? Now if consecutive losses or a sweep happens you could see LSU fall from the #1 ranking. But don't count on it.
