Thank you for this video. I have been working on my own build and I have never done any wood working. It was so helpful to see how they are put together.
Your welcome Todd. I had a really basic understanding of woodworking before starting this project. Nothing like getting in over your head to make you learn something! hope your build is going great and let me know if we can help in any way
Hey guys! Just wondering what the exact table mount you used is? we did a similar set up and we're now having trouble finding a good mount. Thanks! -Shannon
Yo you guys awesome project! I'm working on doing the same exact thing right now, you don't happen to have any links to the products you used? Like the table pedestal specifically?
Looks great guys! Wondering if after some use you noticed any issues with cushions sliding around out of place or if the wooden seat base cuts into the backs of your legs? Maybe that's not the case but it's something I'm worried about in my design!
hey autumn! I recommend making the area around the bed about 1 inch smaller than the bed cushions, because they do slide around. you'll find your knee in between cushions in the middle of the night...but honestly, it was super comfortable for us even with the separating of the cushions!
Table is 36" x 48"... bed is a queen so 60" x 80"... the seats are whatever is left between those two...20" on each side. We'd probably make the table a bit smaller if we did it again :)
Thanks for the video guys! Do you happen to have a link to the mattress that you bought off of amazon? Or the brand? I'm trying to find one that is safe to cut into strips as I've heard that some release fiberglass particles and such! Thanks so much!
Hi. Informative vid. I'm thinking of getting a table like that. I was wondering about doing an L shaped seating area rather than a 3 sided square like you have. I was wondering if the table will hold firm enough with no edge to the right of it? Also where do you get a stand and like that from? Thanks
I think an L shape might be better suited for a "Lagun" type mount. I got this one from marine teak in the UK. You can find them online. As for the "sturdyness"... It will depend on the size of the table you have on the pedestal and how much weight you are putting on it. I imagine you are going to use it like a bed like ours so I think you would still want to support the table on three sides. You could put a small lip up against the wall for it to rest on when it's down. Happy to chat more about the design if you want to bounce ideas around!
Great. Thanks. I'm from the UK so will look Marine Teak up. Not got a van yet but trying to formulate some ideas. The wiring on vans looks complicated. I've been watching some vids I'd prefer to have a 'How to wire for dummies' kind of guide as never done this before. If you know of anything, please hook me up. Cheers. Keep up the good work!

Awesome !!!
What stand would you have used for the table for easier lift? Any specific examples :)
Great work - appreciate your honest tips to help others :)
Awesome thanks for sharing! Ive been milling over the different dinette to bed conversions, I definitely like the boat style pedestal mount.

Well-planned table/bed arrangement, looking at very similar set up. Not sure how I didn't find your channel sooner, good stuff!
Ed Tetreault thanks Ed! Best of luck on your build, let us know if you have any questions!
I’ve been thinking about this kind of layout. Nice to see what you’ve done. Thanks for sharing!
Great job guys. Did you consider or are you aware of any different ways you can have a table that drops into the bed?

Hi, what were the dimension of the seats, table and full bed? Looking to do something similar. Thanks, great vid!

How do you guys screw the table to the floor? Do you go straight into the steel floor or do you screw it into the insulation?
@@aguitarcalledchutzpah It's directly thru bolted through the flooring, insulation, and steel floor of the van
i love it ^_^ ^_^ ^_^
Thank you!!
