A DAY IN THE LIFE OF AN ERASMUS STUDENT | STUDY ABROAD | GERMANY VLOG

The whole of September, I attended an intensive, preparatory German language course before my actual Linguistic classes start in October - this is a little glimpse of what a typical day in my life studying abroad in Heidelberg, Germany looks like.

I'm Danna, a 20-year old university student, born in the Philippines and raised in the UK. Come and join me as I travel around and adjust to life Germany, where I'll be on an Erasmus Exchange studying Linguistics in Heidelberg for a year.

Mary koala Well Erasmus exchange can only occur if you’re home University has links with another University in Europe, for example I could only study in Heidelberg, Germany because the English department at my university in Birmingham had a bilateral agreement with them , so you should ask your Home University and ask what your options are in terms of Studying abroad :)

If you choose accommodation with the University, it's much cheaper because its heavily subsidized by the government, but having said that, its hard to get student accommodation because there is more students than there is housing. Expenses wise, expect to be paying 600 euros per month for housing plus basic necessities (i.e. food, bills)
