Thermal Camera Saves Firefighter in Sevier County, TN

Volunteer firefighter, Jim Carr, was trapped in a brush fire and became disoriented in blackout smoke conditions. He couldn't see his hand in front of his face. Jim was certain he would die that day, but FirePRO helped save his life by giving him his eyes back and allowing him to escape on foot. Jim credits his self-rescue to the quick thinking and instruction from Assistant Chief, Stephanie Specht, a thermal imaging camera, and the grace of god.
