Your guides are amazing. Even if we dont have maxed weapons, They are still usable with a bit of finessing and carefully timed perfect blocks. The only one that gave me trouble was Cait Sith. I got to the Mind Flayer and staggered and delt as much damage as i could, but it had a sliver of health left. So I swung for a home run with moogle knuckle and he died before he could start his telekinesis. God i thought i was gonna lose. 😭 Thanks!
im not as mechanically good as you with cait sith but i was able to clear this by following your video. without the swiftcast Ice though since i didnt have max weapon level.. not entirely needed really except for speed. great video
I really like his playstyle although it is very different, what with having a moogle that you can partially control independently of Cait. And then he is very vulnerable when the moogle is not on the field. It’s quite a change from the other characters. Some cool stuff you can do because of it that nobody else can bring to the table though, like probably one of my favourite things is to be able to cast magic with Cait while being able to block as the moogle at the same time

Hi, anychance you could write down the skills you are using on the mind flayer. Im struggling to see the moves on the quick menu and my phone. Just a rough rundown would be cool, i get the parry parts.
This one made me realize how awful I am at Cait Sith. His animations bewilder me so much and I'm terrible at timing perfect blocks with him. It took me many attempts to get the timing down and manage a 5:06, suboptimal but a win is a win. Also is there any particular way to manually blow up the Moogle or do you keep timing it to the enemy hits to make them blow it up? I've done the latter but it looks like you do the former in round 1.
I don’t know if that’s the case, I wasn’t going for a crazy time, else I would’ve casted magnified magic for battle #1 and #2. And probably would’ve went with higher stat weapon rather than max debuff duration. Thanks though!
After I stagger the firts time the Mindflyer it just does ONLY magic distance attacks, which are very difficult to parry / dodge. Any suggestions? I can't manage to defeat him in the stagger phase

instruction in the description are not clear, the weapon slot of iron megaphone is only 4 while he list 6 materia, and theres no magic attack power +20 maybe he mean attack power?
@@2052brad your description says magic attack+20x2 and this person said it’s level 9 to have more stats but even if you level to 9 there is no mag attack, only attack+20
Yeah they just happened to remain close. I had another strategy for this wave since they usually split up pretty quickly, but this instance they stuck together close enough for it to hit them both
@@Borthralla magnify causes any spell to target 3 instead of 1. For most spells, this means it hits 3 people, but since damage spells have a blast radius they can hit multiple enemies for each target it bounces to
I have obtained all of cait's manuscripts and iron megaphone is STILL showing only 4 materia slots. I'm assuming you have to get to party level 10? I'm not doing the hard mode mini-games. Do you have suggestions for an alternative build?
You should double check your manuscripts because there’s no way you have them all and have 4 slots still. He gets a linked pair at the last level. That being said, just drop Swiftcast-ice
@@2052brad Triple checked, only one missing is the one you get for this challenge. His weapon level is 8. It's also missing the debuff and magic attack passives
I gotta learn to beat the brutals even with cheap shots and op combos lol. The 10 round battle i almost won but they hit hard. My armor sucks because I forgot to craft for 80 hours of the game lol
@@tjroberts22831that’s fortune telling I think you are talking about. He has his own shortcuts when the moogle is on the field and when he is not so I threw fortune telling on square and often use it to finish after dodge and dive kills off the moogle
Really appreciate these guides! Round 2 is kind of weird for me because I don't have time to cast stop on both gi while they are close, and instead have to lure them together which can be a bit annoying.
@2052brad I'm about to start this one after clearing all the other solos, any suggestions for a load out you can use if you haven't already beaten this (without the max weapon level)? Edit: Disregard that, didn't realise you don't use all the slots on the cetran bracer so all good, however to clarify for the weapon skills that's supposed to just be attack up instead of magic right?

It's funny to search for a video to beat this level, but to get the weapon level 9 to complete the loadout to beat this level, I need to beat this level in the first place.
To be fair, I had no choice in the algorithm showing my video. It’s not supposed to be a tutorial for first time completion. Though if you take some lessons from the video, it’ll probably help anyway
I’ve watched your videos over and over and I still can’t figure out how in the hell you’re blocking perfectly while practically JUST finishing attacking. My character always just get hit and wrecked I push R1 perfectly when they swing but the animation doesn’t trigger when blocking and I get hit every time. Just like with the scorpion there’s literally no way you’re successfully blocking while mid attack. Or stopping for .7 of a second I don’t understand.
This is what Cait Sith does. He blocks with his moogle while mounted so he doesn’t adhere to the typical rules that other characters do. He can block while casting, using specific abilities and without delay while attacking on the mog. Iron megaphone is 6 slots only at max level. But if you’re just trying to follow it as a guide for first completion, then drop Swiftcast-Ice as it’s not necessary.
Mindflayer still has the worse parry windows I've seen so far, also that attack of burst purple orbs can't be dodged , only parried but even with the parry materia is a 50% miss

Moogle kaboom isn’t instant. When the moogle dies via damage or dodge n dive it creates a powerful explosion

You get more when the weapon levels. I used it purely to cancel the big aoe attack from the mindflayer.

Weapons get more slots as they level. Once maxed they all have 3 links

How much hours you use become god in ff7?
Umm… I don’t know. More than 99.9% of people would put in. It all came from extensively testing things in remake.

@2052brad all atbs go into healing if I do that. Then he 1shots me with the psychotic break or the 2 lasers attack
Iron Megaphone only has 4 slots...until you beat this, then you'll have 6 slots. Kind of defeats the purpose of this build
