Had a Vance and Hines 2-1 pro pipe on my Dyna for four years. Never heard of the head cracking problem until I saw this video, and that’s exactly what happened to mine. Put the factory headers back on it, and bought a Cobra slip on.
Looking at a 2015 road king tomorrow morning and it has the cobra exhaust tomorrow, can’t sleep so I’m on here checking to see who has it on there bikes 💀🖤
I have a 2007 nomad. Put those cobra true duels on years ago with the cobra f2000 processor and kn air filter. After all these years as bike is unbelievable, never had to do anything aside new oil every year, I thought should I remove those baffles? Why not they are removable right? Honestly after that video I wish you could put the baffles back in the cobras and redo the video as like that sounds like hell. Honestly I would never now remove them. With them in they still sound amazing with the added back pressure I can bet have way more power. I wish I could add a video of mine as how cool is it you had not one but two? Thank you much but honestly at least on the cobras baffles in.
IMO, they both sound more like a big Harley than a big Harley. I can't make up my mind which I like more. I have a VN2000 with Cobras but am considering a Voyager 1700 in the spring and it WILL get aftermarket exhaust.
I decided on cobra, and I have a 07 nomad 1600, I want loud and nasty, you running with or without baffle on those cobra pipes,? Lastly did you add any fuel regulator like a FI2000 or just pipes?. IV been told that if I don't mess with the air like a hyper charger, than I don't need anything to trick the ECU like an air fuel regularlator.. I appreciate any advise you have, thanks in advance.

I know it sounds like they're gonna, "fall off" but that's actually the way these pipes are designed. When adjusting your a/f screw, an easy way to do it is roll on the throttle and listen to how it sounds on the decel. If it sounds like it wants to, "fall off" adjust it. If it stays revved high a little too long, adjust it the other direction. I love my V&H! Nice rides, stay up!
