  • John Gotti ascended to the position of Boss of the Gambino Family after Sammy The Bull Gravano planned the famous hit on Paul Castellano and his Underboss Tommy Bilotti. In PART 1 of "What became of the Castellano Hit Squad" - we explored the criminal careers of the shooters in this gangland murder - but what happened to the back-up shooters?
    This American Mafia documentary takes a look at the lives of Joe Watts, Angelo Ruggiero, Dominick Pizzonia and Tony Rampino, after their participation in the assassination of Big Paul in December 1985 outside Sparks Steakhouse.
    This Cosa Nostra story features mobsters such as Sammy the Bull Gravano, Eddie Lino, Fat Andy Ruggiano, John Carneglia, Anthony Casso, Mickey Boy Paradiso, Sal Scala and many more..

    The Roach was never going to talk. The real story was that the feds were trying to bribe him with heroin knowing he was an addict to get him to talk ( it wasn't going to happen). He was an addict when he was 14 -15 years old. My friends would wait for me on Arthur avenue because they were afraid to run into him ( he would shake the kids down for nickels and dimes to buy a bag but he wouldn't hurt them). If they were with me he wouldn't do anything. His nick back then was "Searches". Dion would often talk about him on PBS when he was doing charity concerts ( quite embarrassing)
    Once, when I was about 10 years old he came to my fathers shop and said they were selling TV's on Belmont Ave for $30 so my father gave him the money and he never came back. My father looked for him for 3 days and finally caught him and gave him the beating of his life. Last time I saw him was at his fathers funeral. When he was arrested I told his sister how bad I felt that he was going to do such a long stint and she said "I don't, at least now I know where he is". That was the truth, we never did know where he was or what he was doing.

      As someone who myself was addicted to Narcotic Pain Killers[ same as Heroin] The Withdrawals are Hellish, and make the " FLU" Seem Like a Common Cold!!! I think The Feds were " Wrong" to [ Try and Bribe an Addict into Cooperating] Addiction is considered an Illness and " THE FEDS WOULDN'T BRIBE SOMEONE WITH CANCER OR SOME OTHER ILLNESS!!!! SO WHY DO THEY ATTEMPT TO BRIBE A PERSON WHO SUFFERED FROM ADDICTION????? I SUFFERED FOR YEARS WITH ADDICTION AND MY HEART GOES OUT TO MR. RAMPINOS FAMILY. THE FAMILY SUFFER THE MOST WHEN ONE OF THEIR CHILDREN OR SIBLINGS IS IN THE GRIPS OF ADDICTION..EVEN IF HE WAS A GANGSTER, HE STILL HAD FAMILY WHO LOVED HIM AND WORRIED ABOUT HIM. Great video! Amazing to think that as recently as 1985 they could carry out a shooting as blatant as that in central Manhattan and not have to worry about CCTV, cell phone tracking or cell phone cameras, automatic numberplate recognition or anything like that. Also I am often surprised at how often they have problems with their guns. You'd think on a hit like this you'd use a revolver, which are more reliable than an automatic, and use a top quality one to ensure no problems. It must have been extremely tense watching the hit go down - if it failed, the entire team were probably dead men.

Like minutes after watching this video they did it again on Narco Wars "The Mob" Bugs and the Dapper Don. I've seen one legitimately picture of Billy and had saved it on another old tablet but I lost it and since can't find it. The one that Google has been posting is of another capo from Philly with glasses that got whacked in his car by two guys trying to earn their strips. They said this capo was talking behind little Nicky's back and they were given the ok. Man I can't remember the three guys names, but they always show their story on one of those mob stories shows. After the hit one of the hitmen claims he went home, took a good shower and used vinegar under his nails. He latter claims he went to a bar and saw it live on tv and did an amazing job crying...saying that was his friend. If you can remember plz give the 411...i know you know cause you'er the man. Lol 😉

    Hello OC. A controversial topic for you. In Mafia States of America it becomes clear and I support the opinion of Gravano that Michael Franzese was an "artificial" mafioso, he was never a true Cosa Nostra member, that he was a coddled boy who got made because of nepotism, because his daddy Sonny got him made. We see that Gravano has no respect for him as a Cosa Nostra member and I myself as a viewer fully understand Gravano's point of view. If Sammy the Bull Gravano is Cosa Nostra than Michael Franzese is the furthest thing from it. What are your thoughts on this? Or will you even comment on this? Cheers. Mike.

    Sammy says there were 11 involved in the Castellano hit. Sammy and John, the 4 actual shooters and these 4 backup shooters makes 10. Who was the 11th in the conspiracy? Obviously there was a getaway driver. There was also Frankie DeCiccio inside Sparks who called for the meeting.

  • @cathyrider142
    @cathyrider142 2 роки тому

    Sammy seems smart. Smarter than John Gotti, certainly. IDK what made Gravano go along w/this. And I don't mean the plan to clip Big Paul, but to allow Gotti, who'd, at best, been the capo of a crew that he didn't know was selling smack, & most probably, knew about it, took the money, & looked the other way. Gravano & DeCicco should've whacked Big Paul, clipped Gotti & Ruggiero, & took over for themselves. Having said that, Gigante, the unofficial 'capo di tutti capi,' or boss of all bosses, (ever since he'd assumed the thrown after Fat Tony Salerno's stroke) was going to have his revenge. That was a given. And I'm Monday morning quarterbacking, so I digress...
