Hope you liked the video! Be sure to like, leave a comment, and check out my other videos too!
Kill screen employee here! Hype you made the video and thank you for the praise! We enjoyed watching it on our screen here and customers were also very excited to see our town and our store in your video! Always welcome back to our store and let us know if you’re looking for anything!
Oh really?! That’s awesome! I’m glad you liked the video! Warms my heart to hear that! Will definitely be back for some Switch Game soon!
Wish there was one in my area
*Cries in CAD where the switch is $500 each switch game is $100*
I’m sorry this video is more focused on US currencies! If this video does well, I want to do a part 2 eventually discussing stuff like prices for different regions!
Thank you for your comment though!
What is CAD short for? Is it Canada?
At the end of the day, you could always start a UA-cam channel featuring every game you've bought and use them as a tax write off! Great video, Random
Thank you so much for your comment! And in a way, that may not be a bad idea!
This was an amazing video with excellent tips!!
I love supporting Nintendo, but it's great to be able to find multiple ways to save money on the games, especially with everyone's different buying/collecting styles! It was awesome that you covered them all, and whilst I knew each of these, it's great to have them compiled!
Another way to save money on them similar to local shops is to browse vendors at conventions, most of which are based out of local shops! This can help out even if you can't make it to some of those shops, and of course for finding elusive titles!
Thank you so much for your comment! Yeah I love supporting Nintendo, but I can see why sales are needed and it helps with people’s buying habits! I’ve never been to a convention so I had no idea about the vendors, but I hope to go one day!
One piece of advice that would work to varying degrees depending on income - per paycheck, set some money aside! For example, if you're eyeing a $60 game, you can plan for that. If you have a year, take $5 out per paycheck, $10 per pay for 6 months, etc. You'll have money saved up exclusively for the game in question! You still need the money and priorities, of course, but it's a nice way to ensure you'll have the money available.
or just buy indies they're soooooooooo much more affordable
Yes, budgeting can be very helpful! It’s what I do to make sure I can afford games for the channel! Not a bad idea to include it in a follow up!
Also yes God please buy and support indie games. They are so much cheaper and deserve the love!
Ayyyyyyyy This legit helped out a ton! I was spending A SHIT TON ON GAMES... Switch can cost a lot but hey! It's worth it! I am glad to be picking up on methods and stuff to help me save!
Thank you for your comment! I wish you luck with saving on Switch games!
This was a great idea for a video! I'm not nearly as methodical as you are. I saved money by getting a Switch Lite instead of a full Switch (and none of the add-ons besides an SD card) but I'm not sure how much I saved since it was during Covid so there were those prices...lol. Can't win, right? I have a little Super Mario case for my games (so I don't display cases when I have them!) and I have gotten game-only used games sometimes. Generally I'll pick what I want, get the physical copy (used if available, new if not), and then arrange for myself to get it for that coming Christmas, so I don't have the latest and greatest of anything and I don't use reward points. I've gotten stuff like Chrono Cross just off a digital sale, though. I didn't know the vouchers existed (that's good to know) and I hadn't thought to try trade-ins (also good to know). I don't think Kill Screen is anywhere near me (sorry all) but I'd totally go in if it was (for the plushies if nothing else! I have way too many plushies).
Thank you for your comment! Yeah honestly what matters is getting the games you want and saving how you can! The vouchers are relatively new (I think they started in 2019, left and then were brought back in 2022?) but yes, take advantage of those tips!
Yeah Killscreen is near me in NJ, but also I’m sure there are local game stores nearby you that you could try!
@@Randombystanderhere I'll keep that in mind! I actually have the Backlog from Heck and don't anticipate getting anything else anytime soon lol. Plus, I still have one, maybe two weekends to play video games and then I need to pick up a second job again, probably Mickey D's (and NOT Subway).
My friends at kill screen games sent me this video! You earned a thumbs up and sub!
Love the content, will definitely be watching more as a fellow lover of good deals and collecting physical games
Thank you so much! I'm glad you found the channel and I hope you enjoy other videos!
I feel the crying wallet in my soul.
And I LOVE the sound effect for it!!
I will say the sound effect is used in an animated movie! I won’t say which one though! :)
Check the clearance bin and check it often. I got many good games like Ghostbusters The Videogame Remastered and Stardew Valley from the target clearance bin.
That’s true! I need to check the clearance bins of places more!
I was very surprised to see your view count and subscribers. You are very professional, straight forward and great at your videos. I appreciate the effort you put into them. I will definitely be subscribing and you'll be huge some day 😊
Thank you so much for your comment and kind words! I enjoy making videos like these, and I hope to make more for you and others to enjoy!
@Randombystanderhere Of course! They are definitely enjoyable! 😁 I love watching them and getting new facts I didn't know about, tips, tricks, etc!
You also only get 1% in gold points from physical purchases while digital is 5%.
I didn’t even know that! Yeah Gold points are worth more if you get digitally for sure!
Dude you gotta play Unicorn Overlord. It's incredible.
Ive been playing a lot of it and my God its so great, but only the demo (almost the full 8 hours) but I really want to give it more of a chance soon!
@@Randombystanderhere I just finished it recently and wound up at just over 90 hours of gametime. It's even more satisfying building out your squads once you get some of the more advanced units and gear. in Drakenhold and Elheim.
I need to check out if my local game store does trades.. How do you ask?
Do some research on Google! Usually some local stores have sites or social media pages, and should advertise it! Or you can go there and just ask! I imagine a lot of local game stores trade, but some have certain policies!
Bayonetta lost origins thanks to the Reddit community I scored it for $17.99 at target so I recommend you check out your stores 👀
I have a GREAT way to save on nintendo switch games....... for only 600$ 😳😳
God I hope Switch games don’t get to be that price any time soon
That shirt is siiiiiiick
Yeah it’s a really cool one! Happy to have it!
