A year ago today almost down to the hour I was at John's Hopkins Hospital laying in an MRI machine for a test that took an hour to do I had to be perfectly still or they were gonna redo it. I wasn't able to take my usual medicine to settle my nerves because I was scheduled for brain surgery the next day so one of the techs gave me a pair of headphones to wear and I had her put on danheim radio shortly after the machine started up I felt my anxiety starting to climb but this song came on it was like a massive wave of peace washed over me and my body and mind instantly settled and I was calm and very relaxed for the rest of the test. Since then I've had another brain surgery and several procedures and will eventually need another brain surgery to fix a few things. you, Danheim Heilung, nytt land and so many others have helped me through some crazy times and I'm forever thankful for you all!

From medical opinion: that music gave you that reaction because couple of hormones like endorphin or dopamine calmed your brain. And what is interesting that music may cause hormone go up into brain, that is really cool.

Nordic music always make me cry. Not in a sad way or happy way. It's like an awakening kind of cry when the music touches your soul and then, it break you from sleep.
In recent years that sort of vibration of the awaking of spirit is the only way I can cry. Not from sadness, not from happiness, only through feeling and remembering spirit.

There was a time where I was obsessed with old Norse culture and religion. In recent days, i've kinda drifted away from it due to a shift in interests, but I will say: Music such as yours, Danheim's, Heilung's, or other's always pulls me back to those dreams.
I love this song. Way down in little New Zealand I feel so far away from my past and ancestors. So alone. The sheeple here are horrible. This music eases my pain immensely.

I am a follower of Loki and listening to this song makes a warmth wash over me like i've never felt before. It doesn't matter what kind of a day I am having, when I listen to this song nothing else matters and I am able to really focus my full attention on whatever I might be doing at the time. Such an amazing talent truly.

My local amusement park called Adventureland just opened a Viking themed coaster and log ride, and in the queue line they play this exact song! I went searching for Viking music on UA-cam but I never thought I would actually find this song! Btw my main heritage is Norwegian so I’m proud to have Viking blood!
Be proud what and amazing culture and religion your people have I been a huge fan of the Norse and Norse mythology I been worshipping the allfather Odin for many years now I even plan on getting a tattoo of Odin and his ravens huginn and muninn I even named my dogs after skul and hati I celebrate yule every year. Crazy I'm not even Scandinavian at all I'm Asian and a bit of European but I always respect your people and culture there no place like Scandinavia I just wish many people respect your lands and culture like I do. Never forget about your history and culture it's part of you.

Danheim is overrated to be honest, its quite repetitive random medieval music, you should keep working on the tracks of Einar Selvik
m0nty90 It’s supposed to be repetitive. It’s Norse/trance hybrid.
You don’t get into any type of trance without repetition.
Two different styles of music. Both are good. Not one better than the other.
Feel and listen instead of hear and think. That is how one connects to the music, to those who’ve come before, and to nature.
m0nty90. Try a meditation practice. Sit on the floor, on a chair, it doesn't matter. Close your eyes and imagine an empty space. Start filling the room with things you love. Family members, special posessions, ETC. Now, imagine a white light coursing throughout your entire body. Warmth and love surrounding you. Bask in the loving happiness feeling. Now, imagine you going back to your little room. Everything slowly fading away. Now imagine being a better person.
