Here in Thailand, you can stay at Hilton for 40 USD per night (Deluxe room with no breakfast) and if you already have Gold status, you will get free breakfast and room upgrade. So you can just go for 15 stays and be ready for international travel 💪
New data point: AMEX is investigating any purchases over $100 at supermarkets. They will clawback points if they find out any part of your purchase was for gift cards or prepaid cards. www.doctorofcredit.com/american-express-clawing-back-some-points-from-12x-6x-hilton-grocery-promotion/
So downgrading/canceling the Aspire card on the 13th month but still get to keep diamond status for remainder of the year after only paying it for it the first month and getting the rest of the annual fee refunded back is that still the case or they caught on to that to? BTW love your content very great and helpful tips on hilton honors credit cards and status upgrades
1/3 of your life on the road is common in many jobs. I’m now lifetime after 16 years of heavy job related travel. And I get no airline miles, so I’ll take the LIMITED perks of Diamond. I do enjoy annual vacations in nice hotels when there are Hilton properties.
Base point is the point you earn from hilton properties (excluding the bonus point) , credit points are not count toward base points. Please check fact guys . So many information in this video is not true.
On eBay they’re selling upgrade your membership to diamond status for two years. Would you recommend that? $495.00 and also would that be towards lifetime diamond status if you had it for 10 years?
Jeezz!! Great video, honestly I don’t think anyone can don2 million points en 1 year jejjeje with GC, the 10 yrs seems more realistic, painful 10 years but the Aspire is the Best hotel CC. I appreciate the info!!
Lol it was possible at the time. Amex became more restrictive and look out for abuse now. They actually have a Rewards Abuse Team (RAT) looking out for this stuff. Still possible if you can justify the spend when questioned.
Bonus points are not base points.... so I'm not sure how this would work? Credit cards do not reward base points. (12x, 34x, points offers, represents the amount of times the BASE).
@@FullValueDan can you give location for info? Aspire lists "bonus point" accrual and 12-34 x points. Base points are defined on Hiltons FAQs as dollars spent on a folio, which are then doubled or 34x with promos or card features..... I'd love to know if Diamond can be hacked this way, but I have tons of bonus points, that never count towards tier status.
I have diamond status but I never use any of these benefits. They're essentially worthless to me. I leave for work long before any breakfast is available.
Can you explain how the Aspire Diamond status will continue for an additional year if you cancel after 13 or 14 months? Does it renew by calendar year or membership year? Thanks.
I know you’re technically supposed to lose Diamond status after you cancel/downgrade the Aspire card. But it sounds like you’re saying if you pay an extra month’s prorated AF, then cancel, you will extend Diamond status for the remainder of your membership year?
@@ValueTraveler Ohhhh wow, that's such a huge difference in offers. That makes me wonder though, if it's possible as a Non-US Citizen to establish a "blog/vlog" business in the US to qualify for the business credit cards. I actually just got approved for a business credit card because of my blog/vlog (and I set up an LLC in Wyoming)
@@FullValueDan for sure! Way better investment Yesterday also watch the video about a guy who said hotel loyalty programs weren't worth it.he basically said you spent all this money and follow their rules to get to a certain level but when you get to a certain level it isn't that special as they advertise it to be because there's so many stipulations and they don't really prioritize you as you would think. At the fancy hotels they are so scripted to tell you that you can't have one of your benefits in such a polite way.
Very true, lots of benefits are changing this year due to the pandemic so it might be a while until the benefits come back. The only real benefits I use are the early check in, late check out and free breakfast. I rarely get a significant room upgrade, but when it happens I feel like a won the hotel lottery (ua-cam.com/video/9l-5nLcoM9U/v-deo.html). The traditional way of getting hotel status by staying in hotels is a lot of work and very expensive. The easy way is to leverage hotel status you get from a credit card to get status with other chains with status matching.
I will be 43 years old next week have 15 years of straight diamond stats and needing roughly 70 more stays to hit Lifetime diamond status

Really? What Hilton in Thailand is only $40/night?

Does holding the Aspire card for 10 years fulfill the 10-years of earned Diamond requirement? Curious if they count the included Diamond perk
I find this very helpful. Thanks
You're welcome!

Why not just buy the points and qualify for the diamond status, like they offer 2x points you buy kinda deal

Sounds like a scam

Usually they don't, there was a special feature for Aspire Cardholders for 2020

ames Bryso you right, not count
Also, there are huge swaths of the USA where $100,000 can buy you 1-4 houses, even in major cities.
Does this equate to 10 diamond status years at roughly 50% off the Aspire card annual fee?
Hi Knick Olson! This is Team Dan. We can talk about it on discord. Here’s the discord link: discord.gg/SHhsj5Rzs5. Thanks!
Over the road trucking and a different stay every night
Awesome! You are definitely racking up those nights the smart way!

Wana transfer it lol
If u want to tf the points, let me now bro
You know you can request a takeaway breakfast. You also get 2 complimentary drinks (including alcohol) as a diamond member
I am 1/10 of the way to 2mill points on my card

Can you fix this as I have diamond 8 years can you help
You need to have it for at least 10 years and a 1,000 stays
Very informative 👍🏼When checking in, do they automatically know you have diamond status or do you mention it?
Yes, it's attached to your reservation with your Hilton member number
@@FullValueDan Awesome! Thank you for the quick reply 🙏🏼
Interesting to see. you have way more ways to earn points in the US 🤭
Luckily yes, it seems that the promotions are pretty generous to US customers when it comes to deals.
@@FullValueDan lucky you 😂 we get only 10.000 reward points for the hilton credit card in Germany...

Do I need to have 2M points at the same time?
yes, but must be BASE points !!!
Could buy the house near me in Detroit for less than $100k lmao
Long term that would be a better investment
