Stole words right outta my mouth or text right outta my keyboard...you did this much research but you couldn't find out how to correctly pronounce the city names?
As a person who grew up in NJ, New Jersey is not that bad of a state, but there are states people would rather live in. If you have your own opinion about NJ, than that's you. In my opinion, NJ is actually fun sometimes
I love Jersey and spent many years working for the government during which I was allowed to travel all over this great country of ours. However I came up with the following conclusion: "Jersey's like every place - but NO PLACE is like Jersey!" 😊👍🏾
new jersey was great in 1922 100 years ago. low taxes, low crime, nice beaches, lots of small businesses, charming old neighorhoods, trolley cars, small farms everywhere. great schools, safe streets, etc etc. fast foward 2022.. no longer. left 50 years ago. come by to visit old brothers once in a while. Nice place to visit if you don't have to drive but you don't want to live there.
This is absolutely abysmal. do not listen to these recommendations half the photos are absolute lies and the averages are completely off. Saddle Brook have clips of Florida. if you decide to look into these areas you’re going to be at a major disadvantage if you’re basing the facts off of this video.
Speaking as a native born escapee from New Jersey, the announcer has done verbal violence to New Jersey town names; the cost of living in New Jersey is too high and keeps getting higher because the state is overpopulated and real estate taxes are outrageous and are the hidden snake in the grass. After your mortgage is paid off, you can still lose it by defaulting on taxes in old age and become homeless.
Yikes! For the love of god, have a narrator who knows how to pronounce the town names. Do your research if you don't know a soul from the state who can tell you how to pronounce the towns. I repeat: YIKES!
Amen! I think the narrator was actually a computerized voice. When she pronounced Parsippany she reminded me of Ed Norton on the Honeymooners, in his pronunciation of "a string of Po-lop-ponies (Polo ponies)" while rehearsing for a play. 😅😂🤣
As a NJ native I’m surprised the only towns selected are prestigious towns- there are hard working middle class towns that are just as safe like Middlesex, East Brunswick, Jamesburg and North Plainfield to name a few!
The best places to live in NJ are towns (usually small) that the local residents are not happy have any publicity about, and want to maintain their already very low profiles. There are a lot more than nine in just 3 counties. (Bergen, Essex, and Morris.) Just two examples would be Short Hills and Alpine. If you expand to Somerset, Sussex, and Middlesex, the list goes on and on.
In the future if you are going to do the best place to live in the United States please check the pronunciation of the cities. For New Jersey most of the cities you said the names wrong.
I always say I want to live and even die in Jersey as long as I can afford it. If I can't afford it though, I too will be out (and I'm not mad at anyone who has to do this)! God forbid I'll ever have to do this…
I'd say the person who created this video must have a love affair with North Jersey particuarly Bergen County. She completely ignored Hunterdon County with towns like Frenchtown - I lived there for f15 years, population 1200- Stockton and Lambertville. Like other commenters have already posted the best towns to live in Jersey are small towns.
I don't know anything about Frenchtown, but I agree 100% with you about the writer must have a love affair with North Jersey particularly Bergen County. Was there ranking based on housing cost? OK, North Arlington isn't that expansive housing, but it's in the Genius Book of Records for having more dead residents then live residents, more then half the city land mass is Holly Cross Cemetery. Princeton is a very nice town, and is in Middlesex County. It does have Princeton University in the center of it with a nice downtown area. However Housing and everything else in and around Princeton is very expansive.
I assume you forgot the rest of the state as in "South Jersey". The very reason we should be 2 states. South Jersey is entirely different than the NY suburbs (North Jersey).
This list is very small towns in NJ, with the exception of Princeton there may only be 100-200 homes for sale in a given year in any of those other towns so good luck finding a place to live there. Also she forgot to mention the taxes, for most of those homes the taxes are $15,000+ per year.
Sorry folks, I know there are some old NJ die hards out there but the what the rest of the US sees is a overcrowded, taxed to death ,cold winter state from a bygone era.
Get someone from NJ to host these videos….at least they’ll be able to pronounce the names of the towns correctly.
Omg yes
@@bridgetmclaughlin609 I thought Ho-ho-kus was bad until she mentioned Parsippany and both my husband and I went, "WHAT??"

So funny
forreal - i volunteer as tribute
I tried man, I really did...I suffered through "ChaTHam" and "HO-HO-KUS", but "Parsi-Panny" was where I had to draw the line and pull my chute.
We laughed at the Cha-tham pronunciation. We live in Chatham and sometimes jokingly use that pronunciation.
😅

She forgot to mention the special weather anomaly that allows hundreds of palm trees to flourish in Saddle Brook.
And don't forget Pier Village (Long Branch). 👌🏾

The narrator murdered these town names…and why are the visuals in Saddle Brook full of palm trees and Floridia style homes lol

Any include Berkeley heights, watchung, Westfield region?
Whoever did this video needs to get to know South Jersey. Check Haddonfield, Mullica Hill, and Medford Lakes.
My God..who taught this girl how to pronounce the names of the towns she reviewed? REALLY??!!
Why is the video showing New York City when it is talking about Parsippany? Can this video get anything right?
Shawty really threw a picture from Florida for saddle brook. Like jersey don’t have palm trees 😭

You re not saying Parsippany the way it s said .
Yep, YIKES.
Great video if you like being talked down and reminded you probably cannot afford certain areas

You move to Pennsylvania for a better quality of life? Pennsyltucky.

Although the video fails to mention the highest Covid counts throughout the pandemic…..
Those are beautiful towns for sure
Ive lived many places in US (due to being in military), and Hunterdon County might be the most beautiful (believe it or not).
Should have added Paterson to the list
You’re joking right 😂 I live in Paterson all my life but it ain’t the best place to live

And your saying these honest vows apply to all couples who marry and simply men and woman. Got it, understood. Thanks
How about the very expensive beautiful high class arts capital of New Jersey RAHWAY, home of the gorgeous Rahway state prison
Yes thank you
Hysterical.
Chad-than? Par-sip-pany?? The Narrator needs to take her mouth back to the dealership and get another one. 😭😂🤣
“If you’re rich and smart” you’ll know how to say the town names properly.
This person speaking never lived in N.J.
Hoboken?
Where is number 9?🤔
Please.
Terrible pronunciation
Yes,you missed the correct pronunciation of many towns. This is a bogus report. North Arlington has a high crime rate and a poorly run school, system.
Please pronounce the names of towns properly😅😅

All set good to go, I'm ready.
So bassically Bergen county
Mount Olive,nj
I used to live in mount olive. Beautiful area
phar - sip - phany (is she ok? because that’s not how you say parsippany)

It was painfully obvious that the narrator is not a native.
I miss you 👧🇺🇸💡
These pronunciations hurt my ears 🙉
yep the top ten of my list never ever gets a mention, THANK THE GODS! stay away please.
The way she pronounces these is painful
Clearly the narrator has no idea about New Jersey. Laughable! This may have been the worst you tube video I’ve ever seen!
Ok ✅
Not a bad video but the pronunciation was horrible lmao
Disliking because of the pronunciations and fetish for north jersey.
High cost of living is the entire state.... Murphy screwed us

North Arlington 😂😂😂😂😂
I think she from Alabama
this is pretty much the same opening script as a similar horrible video
" Average JOE,s " gave this vid a thumbs down
All look boring.
Don’t pronounce Parsippany correctly. Video showed bridges and city buildings……there isn’t any of that in the town.
Funny, you have lots of money, any town will be nice.
