Great review. First time visitor to your YT channel. I own the Tamron 17-28 and find your results similar to mine. Sigma was not available when I bought the Tamron and the Sony was outside of my budget range. The questions is should I let the Tamron go in favor of the Sigma? I shoot the Tamron at f8 to f11 a lot so I am not sure if I can see noticeable difference between the two. You guys have experienced both. What is your take? I am also considering possibly to let the 17-28 go in favor of the newly released 20-40.
IMO it depends on the copy. I've seen comparisons showing the Sigma to be worse, and the Sigma has significantly worse distortion and vignetting (and corners)

there is an update for this lens, ver.02 released last november 2022, was it able to fix the autofocus (hunting) problem? thank you!
some tests online showed sigma having slow video autofocus. do you thinka tamron 17-28mm is better?

as i'm looking now the sigma is only $90 USD more. i thought for sure the sigma was the way to go!
