I bet when Jake called it quit in 2010, he thought everyone will forget that he once dated a pretty popular country girl but it turned out, those short-lived love affairs sparked one of the greatest albums of this decade and made Taylor one of the biggest artists for our generation. And exactly a decade later, people still talked about the scarf, All Too Well, and the folklore of their romance. Ironic yet satisfying.

Country stans finally won
after the All Too Well short film, with the original lyrics too, it feels like every song makes so much more sense now. All Too Well, The Moment I Knew, Babe, WANEGBT, this one.... The Last Time, I Almost Do. So cohesive. Red was, although still great, admittedly my least favorite album because it seemed so confused, like a weird blend of country and pop that didn't make sense to me. But TV makes SO much sense and is SO cohesive. Amazing. 500/10. And I've loved her since I was 12 (25 on the 11th), so you know this is coming from a Swiftie. Red TV is everything it deserved to be in the beginning and more.

Taylor Swift said "does it make you feel sad that the love that you're looking for is the love that you had" meaning sometimes people will get lost in the chase of finding someone to love that they end up missing out on the love they once had.
This song makes me think that we don't really have to be ashamed of who we are or where we came from. Real love from other people is when knowing that despite differences in background and personality, they still choose to be with you.

Oh Taylor, her voice has so much attitude and emotion, and when she sings every line of her song, her voice and how she delivers it always brings out the full experience of what she's trying to convey to her audience moreover just herself. She is just so spectacular, all her writings are so timeless... I just appreciate her so much as a human being. 'She is such a role model in so many specs of life' is my genuine thought of her.

@@Tarutanya Gated communities are houses in a neighborhood that's usually closed off with 2 gates, one to enter and one to leave, so she put a box around the word to show it being closed off from all the things around it. What the lyrics mean is likely just saying that he was in a rich neighborhood that everyone knew eachother, and comparing to how she was brought up, and making a small case as to why they're different.

I am a 60 + year old man who VERY RECENTLY discovered Taylor Swift ( unimaginable but true), and i am blown away by the narrative imagery you are capable of creating. Story telling that will someday be compared to the incomparable Harry Chapin... he wrote about a broader range of topics and people ( as an observer, as opposed to his own experiences) but as you and your audience age I am certain you will broaden similarly. Call it country, call it pop, call it any genre, your ability to paint a picture and set it tp a tune with a groove is extraordinary.

I think you will absolutely love her 2020 albums "folklore" and "evermore", which she wrote about fictional characters and stories as her observations and reflections about life and relationships.

Taylor may not be among the top voices in the music industry, but she is among the VERY few ones who ACTUALLY knows how to deliver a beautiful range of emotions through her singing-narration. She's not just solely singing her heart out, but most importantly she's letting us ride on her poems, stories, and life experiences. That's what makes her really special. Call her overdramatic all you want, but you cant deny her infectious and genuine emotions whenever she sings. She just goes all out. She's the ultimate definition of a popstar every child imagines to be.
I'm glad Taylor didn't release all these songs originally. The excitement, the energy you put in the vocals, and the anticipation of fans hearing it for the first time is another kind of experience every music artist loves 😭♥️

@@CrizyBooks tbh the roles were kinda reversed. Usually with her male collaborators she gives them entire verses but with female they only have backing vocals. Phoebe Bridget’s was the first female collaborator to sing a verse and Chris Stapleton is the first male collaborator to sing backing.
I think this song works as it is because it wouldn’t make as much sense for him to sing a whole verse about Jake. But I do hope for more collaborations from them in the future, their voices sound amazing together.
