Carlin, coffee is a stimulant and in almost all circumstances your body has to completely metabolize the caffeine before you would get sleepy. There is an exception, people who have ADHD can experience immediate sleepiness from coffee, however this is a rare exception.

I’d never heard of Scooter’s, but now I’m jealous!😂 I love all things pumpkin-spice, but the biggest problem I run into is consistency with drinks. Even our local coffee shops vary in quality depending on who makes them. Kind of frustrating especially since you are usually paying a premium for them.🤨
Thanks for all the taste testing you did for us. We are excited about Scooters as we didn't even know we had one in our area, but found one right down the street from my daughter's work so she's going to check it out. Carlin, you are NOT the only one! Coffee definitely does that to me, also. I'll feel like I need a pick-me-up and get a coffee, and more often than not, I'll feel MORE tired than I did before, just minutes after drinking it. Coffee definitely affects people differently.

My husband and son have adhd and drink coffee to calm them down. This is because it gives you focus when you are already have a million thoughts, so gives you a relaxing effect. I don’t know the science, but it’s something to do with engaging the part of your brain that usually isn’t ‘working,’ the bit that makes you concentrate
Carlin is accurate about the drinks making her sleepier. I know my son has ADHD and autism, and when he was little I was told to give him coffee or Mountain Dew to help calm him down. He’s now almost 25, and will ask for coffee if he feels like he needs to calm down. If he’s tired already, he’s afraid to drink coffee b/c he doesn’t want to sleep during the day.
Carlin, I totally feel you on getting sleepy & relaxed after coffee. Dunkin’s is absolutely HORRIBLE/HORRENDOUS!!! Hands down for me it’s, STARBUCKS!! Their, Grilled Cheese is so YUMMY 😋 and my go to drink EVERY SINGLE TIME is, Brown Sugar Shaken Espresso. This was such a fun video! P.S. the, Pumpkin Muffin and the Pumpkin Loaf is amazing!!!

I had a sample of a pumpkin frappe at Starbucks it was good. Also pumpkin bread heated up. I haven’t tried the pumpkin cream cheese muffin. I like the apple cider donuts from Entamins. Looks like Layla loves her ballet class.

It was a chai latte and super watered down, not filled up very much and not hot like I ordered. More like room temperature. I asked for my receipt and they didnt even give me that. So, I couldn't rate them. I also waited a good 15-20 minutes which was way to long for a single drink. The lady in head of me waited a long time too and knocked on the drive thru window to get their attention and they immediately handed her the drink which was probably on the counter like I saw mine was when I got to the window. I already paid and then the guy was waiting on the next person in line who hadn't paid yet. My drink and receipt were visible to me right next to him. So inefficient and rude I thought. The line was super long behind us as I went back even to get a hot drink since mine wasn't , but decided not to wait all day with the extra long line and full parking lot. Dunkin needs to do a better job at least in my area in western NY. If anyone is in a hurry, just be mindful, it could take awhile and you may not get what you paid for.
