This is a great video. Props for comparing an Autel device with an Xtool without totally dogging the Xtool. I get all these tools cuz im a tech nerd like that and heres what ive learned: Example - Snapon/Bosch SAY they can do 100 features - In reality they can actually do 96-98. Autel SAYS they can do 300 features - In reality they can do 230 of those. Launch SAYS they can do 600 features - In reality they can do 350/400 reliably. Xtool SAYS they can do 1000 features - In reality they can do 450/500. The further "China" you go, the more PROMISES the scantools offer without being able to live up to those promises. Autel and Launch are trying to go for the same "quality" respect that Snapon/ Bosch gets, so they offer MORE functionality than a SnapON, but they dont try to go crazy like the Xtools/ Obdstar, ect. HOWEVER - Even tho the Snapon did 99% of 100 features, 50% of 1000 features is still 400 more features the Xtool CAN do. Combine that with the price of the Xtools and you realize theres still great value in buying an Xtool. Same for Snapon vs Autel, Snapon vs Launch, Autel vs Xtool.
Very honest review. When i first saw this video i thought ok he works for autel and he is going to bash the xtool but not what i saw. Good points . I do work for a local shop when they get behind or stumped on one. They bought the autel and i bought the xtool d9s pro . One tool wont cover them all. I also still use the old modis for older cars and own a mac mentor touch which is actually a otc gynisis touch that we all got stabbed in the back on by bosch. The only reason i keep the touch is because of the scope and vci.
So i own a Autel 908s pro elite which is above what your reviewing, along with the $1200 yearly subscription!! And the XTool is hands down better. In every way shape and form. And the subscription price is very fair. The performance is unmatched im sorry but your autel bias. AUTEL HAS HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. AND XTOOL COMES WITH 3 YEARS!!!
I agree with you in regards Autel support. I dont work for Autel New York so the experience you will receive from them is completely different than what my clients would receive. The Autel is not for everybody I dont care which tool you own as long is it gets results with your customer base. For me and my clients the Autel gets the results.
Good day mate. I'm looking to buy a used car in Europe. The problem is that most cars there have fake mileage. I don't know which car yet. If you can tell me which scanner ( which can I buy In Australia ) , can read the right mileage from the largest number of the cars. Thanks.

Yes, the Xtool D9 Pro in fact does come with the J2534. One of the differences between the D8 and D9pro is its bluetooth compared to wired. Xtool doesnt seem to have alot of bluetooth dongles. The D9pro, in my area at least, comes ONLY with the bluetooth j2534 vci.
Hello, Im not sure which model autel you want to connect it to but generally speaking it should work an most models. Most of my clients use in combination with their Maxisys Ultra with no problem.
liked the video I have a quick question about the xtool d7 bought this tool to mainly program key fob for 2008 kia spectra. It programs the keys but onlly the last key fob that i program keeps the programming and works the others loose the programming for some reason. anyone have any suggestions at all im at a loss thanks in advance
I doubt it. You would probably need to take a look at their specialized immo tools to see if it has the same functionality. X100PAD Elite might be an option but I would recommend checking with them as I don't sell this product Just Autels
Overall great video! Something I’m curious on-I’ve been working with Autel US support on topology because originally support did say it’s available for North and South America markets but after purchasing it a week ago from a U.S. dealer, there’s no topology and support is now saying it’s not supported on the 906. Have you heard or know anything about this?
Im not sure my friend. The ones I sell have them. I do know if you dont have internet access or a valid subscription it wont come up. do you have the ms906 or the MS906 PRO? Also its not for every yera make and model
I can only endorse the tools I sell. My ms906 pros come with topology. I have clients book a consultation to verify this and what Ill do to give them certainty is the email from my engineer clarifying that it comes with my units. This way they have 100 percent certainty that the features the look for are on the tool.
HI Matias, I only can give you 100 percent of the right tool that for your VIN if you book a consultation with me. This way I can have my engineer verify the special function and I also can give you my tool recommendations based on the problems that I discover. If you dont want 100 percent certainty you can ask your supplier and see if they are able to give you some general information on which tool will be the best fit for your problem.
I have xtool d9 pro that vci will not do j2534 progrmaing with dealer software. I contacted them and they said there is another version of the vci that will but mine won't. The one that came with d9pro. They told me the one with autopropad g2 turbo will.
You right , I had another subscriber tell me the same thing. The VCI that does the programming looked similar to the one that comes with the D9 at the time . Thanks for the clarification.

I would give the overage key coding a 2.5 out of 5 in terms of its coverage and capability
The xtool doesn't come with a j2534 on this model so it wont work with a laptop need the a80 i believe for that
