If I'm not wrong, she went from a difficulty of 6.2 to 6.6. She keeps upgrading her routines and I'm sure that gymnasts around the world are in shock. Keep going Simone because like Tim Daggett said: "Even when she is not her best, she is the best in the world". And everyday you get better.
Her difficulty was between 6.4-6.6 last year as well, depending on if she hit her connections.
She can finally challenge Kara for gold! (in a comfortable sense)
Her smile after the dismount gave me +10 years to my life span 😍

@@lpoco0006 Yeah, the Biles is 6.4 if I remember correctly, and the triple yurchenko should be around 6.2 since each half turn goes up by 0.4

I have to be honest... When I first saw her double double off beam during podium training I was concerned, she was kinda low... (in comparison to Simone's standards of course)
But here, I litterally SCREAMED when she landed it so beautifully. GO Simone ! Can't wait til day 2 for her to nail that triple double, you could tell she was mad about that pass !
and lmao her face when she dismounted her bars like any other gymnast would have faceplanted, she ended up landing it anyway, she surprised herself, this was actually funny and kind of scary

the Great thing about this Girl is Her Body Dimensions are perfectly equal between toes to knee, knee to Hip Joint and from Hip Joint to shouders , then you have the perfect 2 part ratio from heat [ Edit-Head ] top to Hip (torso) and Hip ( torso ) to heel which gives her a great advantage in Balance and durability .
there was one Girl way Back in early 1970's from CCCP Named Olga Korbut that had same distributed Body dimensions and she was incredible Gymnast
Simone will become the American Legend of Gymnastics once she muster it well and invent her own moves.

*Double double = double twisting double back tuck/somersault*
It is the move that Simone does a dismount at 1:30. It is a double back tuck in which two horizontal twists are added. Thus, the person doing it does two back tucks while doing two horizontal 360• twists simultaneously.
One of the hardest and most popular moves on the floor exercises event, Simone is the first gymnast to land it as a beam dismount.

I don't know much about gymnastics but I think she took out her punch fronts or whatever they are called. Is there enough content here now to make her a gold medalist contender on this event at worlds or will she need to add some difficulty?
She's definitely a contender right now as it is
She doesn't need the front saltos to win gold on beam. That Double twisting double back dismount in combination, gives her far more credit than a barani or a punch front ever could.
She replaced the barani and the punch front with sideways leap and side aerial because they were inconsistent and she was losing a lot on them. (She also has toe issues that they aggravated.) She was a gold contender still with those replacements. With the double double dismount taking her up to a 6.6 D score even moreso.

Ela está desafiando a física e o corpo humano, criando skills que nenhuma outra atleta sequer sonha em realizar!
(E não vou nem entrar no mérito do código de pontos, existem dezenas de críticas ao sistema "perfect ten", sendo a principal delas a não incorporação completa da dificuldade da rotina, em comparação com o código atual)

FFS, if we're going to be stuck watching freaking wolf turns, can we PLEASE DO SOMETHING WITH THE ARMS. The turns look utterly ridiculous with arms waving everywhere. Sort it out. Horrible skill. Either get rid of it, or implement a change. It looks ridiculous. Other than that, great routine as usual.
