- Note: Excuse the color changes and missing titles in the video. FCPX has been giving me quite a lot of uploading issues lately.
You can see all of the light stands here: dslrvideoshoote...
September 2019, and this video is STILL helpful!
Man, this is like traveling in time. You've been informative since day one and your quality has improved a thousand fold. Still, very good vid Caleb.
😊😊😊😊
Caleb, the 9.6' Impact stand you have that was holding a reflector in the b-roll -- could that work to hold a mic? I'm a one-man band and my boom stand broke (super cheap). Also, where did you get the boom arm? Thanks!
Hi Caleb, great video man. The quality of your current videos is on another level as far as production and light quality. Cheers!
0:45 I discovered DSLRVS like last week, and can confirm you actually look even better without hair.
I had a solid chuckle at 4:49
incorporating some comedy may not be a bad thing haha
also what is your take on LED lighting systems?
I second the LED question. Was wondering how the ALZO LED lights were working. Was trying to spot them in the b-roll.
Thank you for this playlist! I know what I’m binging over the next week 😅
Hi Caleb. Thanks for posting this. I've been looking at different solutions and it's nice to see a few shown side by side.
What's the name of the second light stand with the two molds?????
What’s the name of the second stand
This is old school Caleb! Your production value has 1000 fold improved!
2020... you came a loooong way bro lol
I started to get those hair things, and finally conceded and shaved it all off. (well, just really....really short.) It's been nice and easy to get ready in the morning lol great vid by the way. This should be a good series.
Hey what do you recommend from Amazon to hang my producers choice acoustic blankets? I need something really sturdy and heavy duty.
Whats the name of the second light stand u introduce to us in the video ? Also please tell whether that light stand can be converted into something like a monopod with legs

Looks like your lower thirds track might not be turned on in your editor.
Yep. FCPX has been a real gem recently... Worked on Vimeo and my machine but disappears when I share to YT.
How about light stands with Junior receptors?
Funny with the backwards titles in the end.
I have similar light stands to the last three you have shown. The reverse legs one you showed, is that also impact branded? The one I have is a Manfrotto which is around €65 euros. But it is great that it fits in a small duffle bag with an umbrella giving me a very flexible portable lighting setup.
Yes, the reverse legged stand is also from Impact. Pretty sure it is a rip off, but they work great.
I feel like caleb’s voice in this video would be perfect for creepy pastas.
He sounds like Tim Ferriss.
One thing I've found on my light stands: knob size. Small knows are not as good a big knobs, IMHO.
The small knobs like all the ones on the stands you showed, and are on most of mine, are hard to tighten and loosen. In fact I have to grip them so hard they are sometimes downright painful. On the other hand, my best light stands have knobs twice as big and are very easy on the fingers.
Have you found this to be the case?
I would disagree with you Robert. The knobs have to be small. If they were any bigger, you wouldn't be able use them because they would be hitting each other. That said, on larger stands (like the 9.5' model I talked about) there is no excuse. The knobs should be nice and big. That larger stand has nice huge knobs that are very easy to use.
Well, you're right. All my stands are tall.
what r u using to hold your diffuser?
I'll be doing a separate video on that. In the meantime, here is the model I've been using: www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/357125-REG/Impact_1103_Telescopic_Collapsible_Reflector_Holder.html/BI/6566/KBID/7173
What c stand you recommend?
Rudy P Matthews
No lower thirds text!
Yep. FCPX screwed me over.
Broo you gained alot of weight over the past 4 years 😂
Thank you so much for this!
