One of the reasons why I opened my restaurant is, many come to Japan for its food and I wanted to introduce the dishes that use the locally sourced ingredients to whoever visit the area.
And now I would like to know what kind of Japanese dish you want to try next time you visit Japan apart from Sushi and Puppy Ramen as those are too ordinary 😋

Yeah totally, perhaps a cooking channel: A Broad A Pan. The concept is that Chris bakes different sorts of giant bread ("pan" in Spanish, and probably other languages), and proceeds to get inside of them to eat them from the inside out. These would all be 30-60 minute videos of a grown man silently eating man-sized loaves of bread.

Great to see you finally start your own channel and break away from that British bloke who was leaching off of your creative genius Ryotaro! Lol! All jokes aside, congratulations on your UA-cam channel and restaurant. I always enjoy watching the content you and Chris put out! 1-) P.S. I liked the teas you had in this video. Maybe you should come out with an assortment of "craft" teas with local ingredients blended in them (unless you already have something like that)!

Awesome restaurant Ryotaro. I lived and worked in Kyoto for many years and I can affirm that your restaurant has all the class and character of some of the best restaurants in Kyoto. Beautiful place and the presentation of the food is outstanding.

    "From Spin-off Away in Japan"
I don't know what's funnier to me, that the graphic called Chris' show a spin-off, or that Ryortaro (I assume intentionally) got the title of Chris' show wrong.

I've been watching Chris for along time until he took it off YT. surprised see Ryotaro whom I love
so came to see what you've got.
This is great that you're investing in rebuilding efforts of Miyagi area not just operating a restaurant.
I have a brother (and his family) who own a few restaurants in Sendai city. they specialize in Oysters
from Sanriku *miyagi, Iwate) Scallops (both to die for) that are cooked on the table with charcoal
stove. The restaurant is called TOBIUME which Ryataro maybe familier with. It might be a nice addition for Akiusha if they don't have such menus.
I am a Japanese who's been living in San Francisco since 1975. I know you can talk with my brother
Masao Matsuno since he too is working to revitalize, recovering, rebuilding fisheries, farming communities etc. and has many connections through local venders.
I know I'm imposing on you but as a business opportunity as well for expanding above said ideas
further. Please look it up Ryotaro san.

I like how you actually held off on your meal, set a tiny table up in the hallway, with the picturesque autumnal sunlight, at the risk of all persons involved including making yourself and/or A Broad become hangry, and all that just to get that sweet, sweet B-Roll...
*Oh the lengths y'all Pro UA-camrs will go to for them fancy angles and shots*

Your restaurant is inspiring for me and the story from Daiki and the obvious passion for history and culture is one of the reasons I’m hoping to join you all in Japan with the JET program in 2022. I’ll know I’ve made it when I can come visit Akiu and maybe cross paths with the man, the myth, the meme: the legendary risottoro.
Hope you both stay safe and I can’t wait to experience this for myself.
