CCXCC is a weekly Comic Club where we take a look at Claremont's run on X-Men, issue by issue. I have never read the whole run and John has it engrained in his DNA. I'll be looking at it from an artist's POV and John will analyze them as a writer. Join us every Wednesday as we go through the 292+ issues of Uncanny X-Men written by a master storyteller and drawn by some if the finest talents to ever grace the comics medium.
John Coats is the writer of comics, Dino Beasts and Ninja IV: Dark Vengeance, drawn by his brother, James. He is also the writer of NINJA and M.L.F. and editor of the critically acclaimed BERSERKER series by Bludgeon.

Really digging these X-Men reviews!
So glad! We’re digging doing them.
Sorry for the delayed response, I currently have Covid and it is a pain but this is the best I have felt all week long. My favorite part of this issue is Storm doing her best to fight through the demons to close the portal to hell. Also Banshee’s surprise to meeting Moira MacTaggert who is an attractive woman around his age instead of being 80 years old as he thought was hilarious and Wolverine’s first published use of his berserker rage to carve up the main demon who can heal. Seriously though if Cyclops had just talked to a therapist, those demons wouldn’t have escaped in the first place.
I couldn’t agree more! Storm really steps up in this one. I love Moira running into the fray with a machine gun too.
