  • In this video I travel from Bantayan Island to Panglao Island in one day. I travel from Hagnaya Port, Bantayan, an island located in the Visayan Sea, Philippines, situated to the west of the northern end of Cebu island, across the Tañon Strait.
Catching the Ceres bus that starts at Bantayan. Taking the 7.30 ferry from Santa Fe to Hagnaya Port, Cebu. Then continuing by Ceres bus to Cebu city. Taxi from SM City to PIER 1. Then Oceanjet ferry from Cebu to Tagbilaran. A tuktuk from the port to the bus terminal. Then jeepney from the bus depot to Alona Beach, Panglao.
I finally arrived at Alona Beach at 6.30pm, eleven hours after I'd left Bantayan Island.

... love the way you blend your visual narrative with your audio.... Always bang on accurate.. the hurried orchestration music whilst travelling on the bus is reminiscent of background music popular in the fifties cinema.... Thanks for bringing it back...

Love how you interact with the locals and bring the viewer along on the journey as I sit my lazy ass in my hotel room in Cebu city. Keep up the hood work from a subscriber 🎉

Love your choice of music when you finally arrived home ... Felt like I was at a psychedelic wedding for Rodger Waters and Marsha Brady (Marsha Marsha Marsha )... Another great video Philip...

Great video...subscribed...any advice or thoughts on what type or how much luggage to bring while travelleing around like you do ? . I noticed some foreign type travellers at the ferry Check In scene...they were decked out with a series after large and small backpacks...is that a typical approach ?...what about roller suitcases, too big ?, don't work on the varied ground ? , don't fit in the transportation?

Welcome aboard Carl! Hand luggage only. No more than 7kg, so I can jump on a plane and not put stuff in the hold. Recently bought a laptop bag, so laptop, camera, cables goes in that and a backback with my clothes, journals on back. Thinking of swaping backpack for small roller as although more convenient - backpack feels heavy carrying around. Hope this helps. Don't bring too much!

There is a great Seafood restaurant that cooks in the grill in Alona Beach, its a Thai Restaurant, not sure if its still there but very popular, i was there in Feb. 2019. They have great selection of seafood and vegetables to grill. Check out "Virgin Beach" while you are there, im sure you will..haha

Normal aircon bus from Tagbilaran bus station is only 60 peso i think, and it goes direct to Alona, via the airport. Jeep is ok but harder going with stopping. Not really a 4 hour journey. About 30 mins.
