  • Today I'm bringing Dialga Origin to the Reg G ladder! In Origin form, Dialga becomes bulkier, moving 20 points from its Attack stat to its Special Defence bringing it up to 120; which is terrifying given its HP and Defence are already at base 100 and 120. Then there's the damage output of the Adamant Crystal boosting its Dragon and Steel STAB moves by 20% while paired with its 150 base Special Attack stat.
But that's enough about numbers. Joining Dialga today is Thundurus, Chi-Yu, Landorus, Amoongus, and Grimmsnarl. With dual screen support, Grimmsnarl reduces the overall damage the team takes while Fake Tears softens up opponents for Dialga, Thundurus and Chi-Yu. Similarly, Chi-Yu's Beads of Ruin softens up opponents for Dialga, meaning there is plenty of opportunity for Dialga to nail opponents with Flash Cannon and Draco Meteor. Thundurus on the other hand provides extra defensive support with Eerie Impulse to cut down opposing special attackers while using Scary Face for speed control. Amoongus has Rage Powder and Spore to redirect attacks away from its partners or to put opponents to sleep. Landorus's Intimidate helps keep physical opponents in line while U-Turn allows it to recycle Intimidate drops.
What makes the team fun - aside from all the defensive support - is this Dialga has the Telepathy ability. With this ability, Dialga can dodge attacks from its opponents, meaning Thundurus, Landorus and Chi-Yu can safely Discharge, Earthquake or Lava Plume next to it while it stays safe. Which also means the team can fish for burns or paralysis with Chi-Yu and Thundurus while Landorus can inflict serious damage with Earthquake.
So that's the team in a nutshell! Be sure to let me know what you think of it down in the comments below!
