is it not true? What does it change if everybody follows theories, without ever testing them? Everybody just guessing what it should be. It is not the hand here or there, it is just that everybody makes assumpations where this hand should be, just hoping that this is right. So, everybody the same, aiki-guessing. The criteria of efficiency in other arts, like in daito ryufor instance, is really clear. Also, when it is about efficiency, you do a progressive development in order to be more and more efficient. But in ordinary commercial aikido, you don't have clear patterns for every dan examinations, so theoretically you could just be doing the same like a 6th kyu, just faster and with more experience. Like you are faster in doing 2+2+1347, but you never get the level of equations.
@@Eternaprimavera73 And what is this supposed criteria in Daito ryu? As much as we can see it's mostly the same or similar things done in Aikido. And that's mostly from Kondo and even his students look the same
@@Eternaprimavera73 Also you do realize that more people in the postwar Aikikai Aikido have probably tested their theories than all the people in Daito ryu all branches combined.
@@Eternaprimavera73 The paradox that those people mostly still teach in the same less efficient maner is something for considering but in that consideration you have to take in everything that's happened in postwar Japan.
@@Durante_di_Alighiero Doesn't really matter what Ueshiba, or some of his postwar disciples (probably, you are using the probably )did, if this is not taught, and their students are left to guess, what it could be. Here is not necessarily about fighting. Here is only to understand what are those aiki mechanisms that make a technique effective andefficient. You can be an aikidoka and win a lot of fights, but it is not said that you are using aiki. So probably at that point you could have better results practicing sambo, judo, or MMA. For the rest I am not advocating Kondo, and I don't like what he shows in the video. But do you realize that not necessarily who has this knowledge, he also gives that knowledge? He can teach you all the daito ryu sequence from Tokimune Takeda, without explaining why, when and how it works? I don't know if Kondo really knows aiki, maybe yes, but this is not what he teaches. From this point of view all martial arts are a comercial fraud, because the real knowledge, if it is there, is transmitted only to 2 or 3 people. The others just support a business. In sport in general is not so, because in general, even if the teacher has little knowledge, he is interested in having his students to win in competition, so no reason not to teach. In other words, the correct technique in competition is transmitted, while in traditional martial arts it is a status symbol, where th e lack of verification makes not necessary the real transmission. I am not saying that aikido it is not good, only that what the most of peole do, is not aikido, and is not even daito ryu, despite who is their teacher. In fact, you can only teach it to yourself. Est-ce qu'on étudie le combat au sol en daito ryu ?
Très intéressant comme sujet !!!!😉 Merci

I came here to see some Daito ryu, but found an Aikido guy talking shit about Aikido and doing no Daito ryu. Kind of disappointing.
