Got my 1911a1 in as much a style as my 1911 while as was in the US Army. All retro style. Even got a M-7 leather shoulder holster, with a US embossed on the holster. And two M-1912 leather double magazine pouches, with US stamping. Added walnut side panels with US logo. Changed the mainspring housing for a lanyard loop. With an Army surplus lanyard. All old school cool.
In this particular case I like my P220 carry for shooting for the simple fact it is a stainless one and it is much heavier and better balanced. The full size one has an allow frame. That stainless carry is perfect.
@@TerryBenton I’ve been meaning to buy a new full size P220, but when it comes time to buy a new pistol, I always bring home a 1911. There are too many 1911s that I want to own. I’ll have to force myself to take a 1911 break to try the Sig.

The Sig 220 is old now! I think the Sig 220 will disappear eventually and the 1911 never will! Both pistols are excellent though

@christophermead9800 I also love 1911s. I like them more than the Sig but the Sig is very nice. I absolutely love the stainless one
