@Betancourtd I went with the Oura ring for now. Same here about the subscription but it's needed to get all of the features. Besides, you can use it with both apple and android
I found your review very comfortable. Feel like it was full of a lot Real world info points and very little bias than other reviewers. Thank you! My ring comes today!!!!🎉
I didn't buy a Oura cause of the sub fee, so I'm waiting on Galaxy Ring, and since my Nokia 6210, I have only owned Samsung Galaxy phones and see no reason to change.
Die hard Galaxy user here - I was looking into trading my Oura ring for a Samsung ring and what just sold me was the fact Oura says only 5% of users have Samsung phones so they don't think the switch over would be a big deal, way to make it sound like they don't care about me, random lone Samsung/Oura user (Really my debate on switching is I'd rather pay for another ring and cut a monthly subscription or have a subscription that works for my watch and my phone if that makes sense)
no, the smart watch takes priority over the ring, so the ring battery lasts longer, but it is expected that this priority can be user adjusted in the future
I'm switching from the oura ring to the samsung ring because I can not see myself paying a subscription for the ring, especially for the price they charged for buying the ring. Samsung, to me, has the same things our ring offers, but without the subscription
I want to know if both right rings support vibration 📳 and can you enable the alarm ⏰️ function on the ring? I am hard of hearing, I use my Galaxy watch ⌚️ to wake me up every morning with the vibration of the alarm.
Only just released in Australia this week ; AUD $699 which is equivalent to US $468. All the same I ordered one and received the fitting kit today. The only size that will fit is the largest, #13, and that will only fit on my ring finger. And pretty tightly at that,. Everyone seems to reckon that it works best on the index finger so I'm thinking of cancelling the order. Questions: 1) anyone out there wearing their's on the ring finger? 2) any guitarists out there with experience of wearing a Smart Ring whilst playing?
Honestly i was 100% going to buy it until i realised it might not be comfortable when I lift weights in the gym. You can wear the ring on any finer you want
I think Samsung will follow Ultrahuman's lead and charge for add-ons. In my opinion, people will end up paying more than Oura's monthly subscription in the long run if you think about it. Buyers need to realize that all the data and algorithms cost money, and if you want more features and frequent updates to your gadget, Companies will need to get the money from somewhere, and this is where a monthly subscription comes in unfortunately.
Agreed, but the fee will be less for Samsung phone/watch users, plus bc Samsung is one of the biggest tech companies in the world they pay less for everything, so they can offer services cheaper, or even, "lose money", to undercut the competition.
I preordered my Samsung Ring on July 10,2024 with delivery date of July 24,2024 and still waiting. I just get an email with sorry for the delay. So if you're planning to order one now, maybe you will get it by Christmas!😂
Yeah, I ordered on the 10th as well, but they didn't send the sizing kit until the 19th so my ship date got pushed to the 9th of August. Not the biggest problem in the world, but does make for a less than stellar customer experience.
Exactly! People don't realize Samsung outsells Apple in phone sales, so the only reason people think otherwise is marketing. However, it's starting to catch on that Apple isn't the big boy on the block, and they'll always have their Apple loyalists, (cult, lol), but for the majority of the people they've been realizing for a while there are alternatives to Apple.
They both had HRV in their apps. The Samsung app had an 'HRV during sleep' graph. The Oura app had HRV as well. I recommend watching videos that specifically cover each ring individually to get a better idea of the data that's available in their associated apps.
If Samsung or Apple ever charge a subscriptions for health services after how expensive their devices are going is the day I stop any subscriptions they offer. And people should stop paying for them to force these companies to opt out of subscriptions models
Agree 1000%! With the profits these companies see, they need to stop milking their customers. I would absolutely join a sort of revolt if needed! Speak w/ your wallet people, w/ your wallet!
To all those thinking there's snow subscription think again. Your basically paying for it up front with the exaggerated price tag for such a basic device. See what they did there??
If you're a Samsung user, are you ditching your Oura ring for this? 💍
I believe Samsung ring will get better in time❗ It's not even out yet ❗
No
Still undecided. My oura is great so far with more sensors and health insights, but the subscription is a bit annoying.
@Betancourtd I went with the Oura ring for now. Same here about the subscription but it's needed to get all of the features. Besides, you can use it with both apple and android
just did! ditched my Oura 3

Nah man, ringconn 2 is jut around the corner with 11-12 days of battery life.
I avoid subscriptions like the plague, I’m ordering the Samsung ring as soon as my size comes back in stock
I have a Pixel, GW, and Oura 2, i'll be upgrading to the GR and trading in the Oura
AWESOME VIDEO - THANK YOU. Quick question please - which would you say is better for EKG monitoring which is my main concern

the galaxy ring seemed a bit more streamlined and a bit better looking on smaller fingers.
If you wear Galaxy Watch and Ring at the same time, does the watch battery last longer?
Why would that happen ?
no, the smart watch takes priority over the ring, so the ring battery lasts longer, but it is expected that this priority can be user adjusted in the future

Great review. I got the Oura ring for now for the variety of features. The monthly fee is something to think about
With Samsung's budget the feature difference will be made up very quickly, and supassed even quicker.
Do any rings have or planned feature for a vibrating notification or any notification?
I want to know if both right rings support vibration 📳 and can you enable the alarm ⏰️ function on the ring? I am hard of hearing, I use my Galaxy watch ⌚️ to wake me up every morning with the vibration of the alarm.
They don't
Thank you for your reply.
no vibration but that would be a cool feature!

Please bring this to Canada!!!
Mark October 3rd/24 on your calendar bc Christmas is coming early!
You lost me with iphone 😅

Galaxy ring is the only one with HRV?
Nope

If only 5% of Oura ring users have Androids then they better be worried about Apple's ring when it comes out. 😮
Or Apple just buy them 😂
That is so surprising to me, the ring and software work great on Android fully integrating into Health Connect
Correction: only 5% have Samsung phones, not Android phones
@@Muntan_Ah
Yep, it's probably up to 7 or 8% if you include all android phones lol.@@Muntan_
Oura compulsory subscription is exhortant. Period.
Yet you don't have to buy the ring. Plenty of alternatives so.....

ALL the batteries were dying throughout this video. iPhone 6%, Samsung ring box dying, Samsung watch ultra DEAD.... 😰😰
been busy testing!!!
Why, nobody speaking about nfc on Samsung ring ?
When Apple releases their ring oara or whatever their called will def panic
Beautiful girl ❤

Nothing about accuracy, the single most important thing about the ring. Useless review and useless channel.
Ours seems better, they just have the subscription that's the problem.
However, with Samsung's budget, and other companies the feature diffrence will be a short time, and they will be surpassed even quicker.
well... so this thing is useless in other words lol
Depends on your own personal needs.
Great review. I got the Oura ring for now for the variety of features. The monthly fee is something to think about
