In Thailand use high pressure water pump with reduce pressure water gun for clean indoor unit. All electric parts seal with plastic bags and tape. And use the big plastic bag modify to make a gutter for dirty water flow down out to window. Make it dry with blower. The last step, use alcohol spray on evaporator for reduce bad smell.
Good to see and learn, question is that, water is not required for over all cleaning the coil and dirt with chemicals??? In this video we didn't see by jet water cleaning.
Thanks for the video and where should i can buy the cleanner if i stay in Jakarta - Indonedia ? May i got the web store of the products and how much the price per can ? Thanks
Good video sir. Here in Chennai, Tamil Nadu we are paying Rs. 500 for getting cleaned only indoor unit. The ac mechanic will never even touch the 2nd unit. Henceforth I myself will start doing servicing of my own . Thanks
hello mera 2nd floor floor h, mje 1.5 ton split AC ka outdoor rooftop pr lgana h jo ki 40ft pr h, konse brand ka non inverter AC durable rhega ? Please suggest
Good work bro. I have a question. Don't we have to use water after applying the fome on the coil to clean the foam? Just leave it with foam applying? Where is the dust that foam removed from the coil
Use water and a bag for the indoor unit to flush it out, then just use the garden hose on the outdoor unit to psh al the dirt and crap out from between the fins.
Man 1,000 thanks. I used to pay $75 twice a year for this service. With this video I did my self and only spent $6.00. Awesome. I also spent $2.50 in some kind of acid to clean the autdoor unit.
Ok I see a video previous that a man uninstall the split ac then put into the floor and spray on there dust coil surface by this type of spray material but he protect the right side of the motherboard section and tape over it and then he use a heavy motor jet spray to cleans it. So let me know your opinion. Thanks
You need stronger chemicals to break down all the dust and mold sticking on to the fins and the roller fan. It's what the professionals use, it's quite acidic and you have to wear gloves to handle it. These types of DIY spray won't do much difference, even if you spray a few cans of them.
After applying the foam, no washing or force drying/cleaning is done.Is ghe process demonstrated is right ?How do the dirts come off the condenser surface when it is loose without washing /Again once the foam dried up, the dirts back to same condition.,Pleas advise.
I'd just take the fan off of the condenser and spray through the fines from inside out with nubrite blue cleaner, let sit and spray water through.. if your getting dirty foam and water through on outside keep going and it's pretty clean. If not then take cage off and brush the crap off.. also every mini split I've ever seen has a caution! Clean with water only sticker... that evap foam cleaner may be okay, I'm not sure, but I've been told not to do that before.. just simple green and water
I use this method but I go a few steps further. I remove the blower wheel and clean it I also remove the drain pan and clean it out and make sure the drain line is clear then I spray on this product. let it foam up for a few minutes while putting the unit back together. Once reassembled I operate the unit for 1 hour and the condensation that occurs on the evaporator coils rinses the dirt away that the foam loosens up.
Nice and useful video 👍🏻😃 just a question, outdoor also needs to be cleaned ?? Because I use to clean only indoor unit !! Even service engineer does only indoor
Some sort of moldy/musty/wet cloth smell coming from my newly installed AC when using in fan mode. The smell goes away(or I am not able to detect the smell) in the Cool Mode. Is this Normal? I have cleaned the Air Filters but still the smell comes.
So you used evap cleaner on a condenser incorrect that needs to be washed off . It's only non rinse on evaps because the sweat and automatically washed off the cleaner during cooling operation
Those coils on the indoor unit are still dirty. Go slow from left to right then top to bottom to allow more foam to get in between the coils and drip down and you'll have a much cleaner unit. These daikins also have coils on the top of the unit that angle down that weren't cleaned at all.
Actually this product is designed not to be rinsed. Once you spray it on and it foams up for a few minutes I put mine back together. I also remove the blower wheel and drain pan to clean. But the foam is designed to rinse off by condensation when the system is operating. I always operate my unit for 1 hour to rinse it off and the dirt goes right out the drain.
My air conditioner was hardly heating so after watching this video I decided to clean the outside unit. It didn't look to dirty but boy it sure made a difference.
I am using a daikin split ac which is around d 8 yrs old. Now it is not blowing air out in the middle of the indoor unit, only blowing air at the ends . What could be the problem. I have already cleaned the i door unit.
Dear Gothanda Raj, Thanks for your Comment. It is Nu-Calgon Evaporator Coil Cleaner. Yes, it is available on Amazon you can buy from this link - - amzn.to/2CdDBKz For more coil cleaner links check description areas. Thanks
Thanks for the video! Probably one of the best A C. Diy videos with good graphics. Instructions are very clear but care must be taken when one or both units are at a height requiring one or more ladders. The discription box mentioned no rinse required however there is some concern as alkalies are used. I will have to read up on this, or that means we have to trust the product manufacturers. If this is truly safe it's a nice thing to know!
The best way for chocked coil fins is to remove the indoor unit then disassemble it and clean the evaporator coil. Watch this video for ref.- ua-cam.com/video/zt5GJuzDI6U/v-deo.html
Aren't you suppose to wipe the foam after it settles in 15 minutes later? How does the foam wash away the dirt alone?
Same question
You're right wait 15 than wipe and wash
It's a man. They don't read instructions.

@@PlantASmile no they don't you have to rinse them and especially the barrel fan crap builds up them like you wouldn't believe

Very good video on cleaning Split AC for indoor and outdoor. Thanks.
You need to rinse the coil. Use a spray bottle and spray it two to 3 times with water. Make sure to clear the drain pan and drain line completely.
Won't the water damage it?
It's amazing that links to products are in the description but people don't even check.
Amazing how you know "people" don't even check!

Yes here also ni the Philippines we also do that
@@taofiktaofik6201 nope
100% if the pump is in control you will not damage the coil
So you just sprayed the foam and then what ? You just leave it there ?? Hoy you are going to clean it without water ??
the AC will rinse itself with operation. The condensation that forms on the evaporator coils actually rinse the dirt away.
Good to see and learn, question is that, water is not required for over all cleaning the coil and dirt with chemicals??? In this video we didn't see by jet water cleaning.
Rinsing is necessary for completely clearing dust & and rust.

My pleasure Dear
smart sir
We r doing it for several years ourselves ...
same case here in punjab AC mechanic just drop one bucket of water on outdoor unit
Outdoor unit isnt nearly as important as the indoor one (cleaning wise)
It helps to hold the can perfectly on axis to the coils to give the cleaner the best chance of penetrating
Good information ,but how clean the foam after spraying, should we pressure wash it or it doesn't need to be wash?
Very nice bro
This you given a guidence for non technical persons
Very very useful

Very nice big brother big brother
No need to wash with water after spraying?

Can we use hydrogen peroxide to spray?
Why you didn’t clean the fan blades and the inner surface
It's long duration process to clean Blower fan blade..needs to remove it.
@@amiteshbaghel you do not have to remove the fan blade on every application.

This is a no rinse foam. Once you start running the unit again the condensation from the coils will eventually wash everything out into the drain pan.
What have you sprayed for cleaning? After 15 minutes you didn't clean with cloth or brush. Or no need to do anything?

Hi, are cleaning inverter and non inverter the same method?
Yes, of course
You shouldn't let the foam just fall down. After spraying, let it sit for 5-7 mins then wash it with water
Absolutely true.
It is very useful for many people to clean the air conditioner
*Yes* 😊
sorry this is not the right way to clean the AC

Condenser should be rinsed. Non rinse products are only for Evap as condensation removes the cleaning agent. That does not happen in the Condenser.
