Hello, Today I will show you how to reset the new Galaxy Tab 3.Use this method if you have problems with the operating system or do not know the lock code.
Warning! Do this at your own risk! All your phone data (contacts,photos,videos,music,messages,aplications,games,files,) will be lost! Please make backup first if you can!
1.Turn off your tablet
2.Push together volume up + home key + power key until Samsung logoo appears
3.Select with volume key "wipe data" and push power key to confirm
4.Select "yes" and push power key to confirm
5.Wait until format ends
6.Push power key to confirm "reboot"
7.Wait until the tablet restarts
That's it!

John • actually, it turned out that I don't have the recovery mode - odin mode and my boyfriend helped by installing recovery :)

how and where can you download a recovery mode? please tell us. my tab has been giving me too much trouble and i am getting the same issue of just the logo there so i safely presume that i dont have a recovery mode either...

So I have a Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 SM-T210R and it will not come on unless I have the charger plugged in to it. It does not hold a charge and when it comes on it shows the (Samsung Galaxy Tab 3) logo and shuts off then turns back on(boot loop). I cant even open the factory reset menu. Just the download menu. Does anyone know why this is happening? Plz HELP!!!!

Why does my volume buttons only go down 2 on the list if that makes sense like I can only choose reboot system,apply update from external storage or wipe cache partition?

This works on the Tab 4 as well. Mine was stuck on the boot logo and couldn't figure out how to do the reset correctly. Even after checking several sites which gave me different ways of doing It, but none worked. Until I saw this and It worked first try! Thanks so much!

Hey buddy. I was just wondering if you could answer a quick question, we bought a galaxy tab second hand and am gettng an error (TWlauncher has stopped unexpectedly, force stop etc) and would just like to restore so all his crap is off it, and was wondering if I did this "factory reset" would it ask for a 4digit code upon rebooting, as I wouldn't have the code. (The man who sold it to my daughter we can't contact,) probably for obvious reasons, "he knew it had this problem perhaps", before this error happened I even asked him did he want me to email him the remaining family pics on the device and he won't reply. I'd really appreciate any advice you'd have. sorry for waffling on a bit.

4ntiMatteR actually sir, it was the owner control, if he/she can give you the pw. before you do the factory reset , but then, you can try 0000 or else you need
HARD RESET, try to search on hard reset.....

I had a computer that wouldn't turn on until I took the battery out and put it back in. If that doesn't fix it I would think your battery may be bad. Or maybe the charger has gone bad.

@GSM-ABC : I have the exact model : Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 SM-T211 (+ 3g) but WiFi and Bluetooth will not turn on. Any ideas how to fix this? The WiFi turning on process seems stuck and it is just hung with this message "Turning WiFi on..."

If you're tablet doesn't turn on, it certainly needs a original charger. Trust me. It will work it has to be original or else the device won't work. You can use a regular charger once its half charged. BTW will this make the music stop on the new update?
Ive tried doing that exactly and it doesnt reset it at all its stuck in a reboot cycle even if i try to uninstall apps and i manually restart they are still there as if I never uninstalled them, trying to free up memory as Ive already tried the unplugging power button to see if its that causing reboot cycle it is very low memory so was trying to free some up to see if thats causing it
