Great idea, the coconut farming with the fish ponds, the catfish, tilapia, carp, rohu etc. also they reckon that crayfish will go good with the fish, in the ponds, like gumbo-style Louisiana, then perhaps pineapples, bananas, guarana, guava, or some other tropical fruits or shrubs, then have a "fish restaurant" on site, people can catch their own fish, then have someone cook the fish, or even cook it themselves, have an information center, and have some huts there as well, where the visitors can stay, like home stay, having the "farming experience", they can then build a "micro-brewery" on site, after eating a fried butterflied fish, washed down with a coconut juice, desert is a healthy tropical fruit salad, they might want to sink a few beers in the afternoon, as they watch the sun go down, in the poco-loco troppo setting. Some perfect places to set-up such a "farming experience" holiday destination, Thailand, Bali, Philippines, Easter Island, Cook Islands, Fiji, Brazil, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Colombia, Venezuela, Peru, El Salvador and Northern Australia.
Well, the root size ( the diameter and how deep it grows ) depends on grafting or if you wish to, then standard heights are available for original species of coconut tress and Kerala, Sindhudurg ( Maharashtra ) coconut seeds are recommended for that purpose. Once you are clear with root size you can calculate how much to plant in accordance with the availability of land. There is absolutely need to worry about space.

Here's an interesting idea: What about making a large greenhouse and putting a coconut/fish farm in one? Dig out the ground. Line it with a rubber liner. Fill back in the dirt and mold it. Add a pump for circulation. Build up the walls. Add polycarbonate greenhouse panels or glass. Add glass solar panels on the roof. Then cultivate and harness in far greater climate ranges. Have coconut or palm trees and fresh water fish growing in more arid or colder climates. Harvest locally and avoid the monetary and ecological strain. I'd love to do it myself if I had the land and money.
@@daveklein2826 I would absolutely love to! Unfortunately, I don't have the land for it. Yet. Working on that too, since I want to grow a small orchard as well. Would love to turn a large, 2 story pole barn into a massive greenhouse for citris trees, coconuts, and a fish farm (Though I personally hate eating fish. Lol.). If it ever happens I'll absolutely make a video. As it stands, I'm turning my 1/3rd acre subdivision lot into a small orchard. Got 10 trees (5 types) planted last year and am planting 7-10 varieties of berry bushes this year. I want to make a video walking through after they've grown in a bit in the fall.
This leads to Excess soil moisture and reduce oxygen in the soil, damage fine root hairs, and render the root system unable to absorb water. Plants exposed to excess moisture show the same symptoms as plants under drought stress. The primary symptom of excess moisture is yellowing of lower and inner needles
In order to lessen the heavy load work , coconut floats with the water line connected with each other, they can bring easily the crops/fruit to the side where all to be stored / filled up.
perhaps less as there's less habitat for some pests, but i doubt you can keep all of them away. even from a clean slate of clean crop and land it is inevitable, but probably costs for pesticide will go down
This system has been existed in Thai coconut form more than 100 years. It is sustained eco-friendly. no chemical use how does it need treatment anyway? The eco system is so pure good that some farm do Cafe over the coconut farm. please, study before making stupid comments.
Thailand probably produces a lot of the coconut that we see here in the US but you can can buy coconut seedlings from any country that sells them. I think it will be cheapest to buy from India than Thailand, the Philippines, or Indonesia since India is the closest country to Africa with lots of coconut. You can save money by digging the canals yourself.
Fresh water pond fish are very danger lately, to many worms in them and couse poisoning , in America FDA keeping eye on those products. Has to be clean and right Environment to raise healty fish.
Instead of growing coconuts, it would be more profitable to grow trees that produce 24 karat gold mangoes. There are other trees that produce 24 karat gold oranges and apples but they only grow in colder climates of himachal and kashmir.
1. Buy land 2. Dig canals 3. Plant trees 4. Introduce fish 5. Irrigate trees 6. Feed fish 7. Repeat 5 & 6 8. Harvest coconuts 9. Sell fish 10. Reintroduce fish fry
After 3 years, set up 2nd plot: 1. Plant young trees 2. Introduce fish fry Coconut trees will be less productive and more difficult to harvest as they got older. Make new plots and rotate.

Under the palms different berries and herbs might be grown as well, 3 in 1 now

Will this work with any fruit tree
No as roots will pull out of water and topple. Even coconut varieties suiting to submerged condition to be planted
Some fruit trees cannot have their roots wet all the time, waterlogged soil like coconut and oil palm. They will suffer root rot and die out.
