I just love how the bad buys go from laughing it up and celebrating their victory with the good guys and then the next cut the bad buys instantly hate them again.
I say character wise, it's because of the situation. They avoided the cops which was an intense but it worked out in the end. With the cops off their back and using the classic muscle cars as their ruse to be hidden in plain sight, the tension between the two pairs came back into play as the job was nearly complete. Verone wanted Brian and Rome dead at the end of the run. Brian and Rome were going to eject their asses long beforehand until Brian slipped up...it's just a matter of principal between the pairing.
What makes it even funnier is they kept in the Spanish curse words in. The word that dude says when he's getting thrown out is way worse than anything Roman says 😂😂😂
"Hey,what's the retail on one of those?" "More than you can afford pal,Ferrari" ---------------------------‐ "She was just admiring my ride" "Mah rhidēē!"

When Roman was a joker, but a tough guy, gets things done, has a problem with authority, if he has to shoot first, he does, no warning. If he has to smash someone´s face in the pavement, no problem, he hopes you have a good dental plan. After this he became a bumbling idiot that whines all the time, complaint about everything and does lame jokes because comic relief. How to ruin a character that had a good backstory 101.
It is true but for the most part, it seems his fears began to show themselves with each crazy stunt they were forced to partake in. I mean after taking out a tank, pulling down a plane, jumping out of a plane in a fucking car, fighting a submarine, each time I'd probably bitch too about how crazy my "friends" are.
@@Netherwolf6100 That's during those stunts. In other matters what we saw in 2 Fast 2 Furious was nowhere. He was just a loud mouth and all the character development made in the second movie disappeared like it was no longer part of his character.
@@The_Curious_Cat Yeah but that's the point. The second movie, the craziest thing they did where he didn't bitch was running from the cops. That façade began to drain away when Brain jumped a speeding car onto a moving boat and we saw how fearful he became during a dangerous, life or death stunt. After that, with each crazy stunt and plan that followed, he voiced more of his distain against it, only following through for money or because he really didn't have much of a choice. When they brought him back in the 5th movie, his first protest was against robbing the guy who ran the country, only to be brought back by the idea of getting 11 million dollars. From then on, he displayed more and more dislike for each crazy situation he found himself in. Running from cops is one thing, its what he's good at. But everything else after that, not even the most adrenaline hungry people in the world would do, without a controlled scenario. If anything, his character is the most believable out of them all because of it. He doesn't take to these increasing, death-defying moments as if its another day in his life and it makes sense when you actually look at his character. Yeah, he's too goofy a lot of the time but I think that's only because he's constantly surrounded by people who mumble growl with jacked bodies and stone face their way through the movies.

The fact that Verones guy with Brian doesn't understand english very well, when Brian said "How bout them Apples man?" the guy certainly did not understand that
Genius trick by Verone, owning two Lincoln navigators & using one of them as a decoy to test Monica, because even if she doesn’t tell the feds about the airstrip, he looks like he has a clean getaway either way. However, Verone not telling his two henchman about the plan to test Monica could be seen as a mistake, because they could have tested Brian or Roman purposely, while communicating with Verone via their own walkie talkies, then he could use code words to tell them whether or not agents stormed his jet. That way if Brian or Roman slipped up, then that would have given them the green light to kill Brian & Roman right then and there. It obviously wouldn’t have worked with Roman, since he was able to eject Roberto before the jet was raided, but it could have with Enrique. Enrique can’t drive, but he could have just killed Brian right before the exit (surely he could have driven a few hundred feet) and then Verone would have gotten his money & had a clean getaway.
Very good point! Never thought of it like that… however, just because Brian & Roman know about the airstrip doesn’t 100 % confirm that they are working undercover. It’s possible that the henchman could think that Fuentes told Brian & Roman about the airstrip so that way they all four get busted in addition to Verone 🤷🏼♂️
