Pro-Palestinian protest at GWU continue on day 8 as tensions escalate in Israel-Hamas conflict

As tensions escalate in the Israel-Hamas conflict, the pro-Palestinian protest at George Washington (GW) University's campus shows no signs of waning. On Thursday morning, demonstrators entered the eighth day of their encampment.
Additionally, a rally supporting Jewish students and the Israeli cause took place a few blocks away at Anniversary Park at F & 22nd. Those counter-protestors are arguing the encampment's messaging is antisemitic.
Lela Tolajian, a Jewish member of DMV Students for Justice in Palestine, argued otherwise.
"I don’t know what could be antisemitic about opposing a genocide," she told 7News. "We're here because of what is happening in Gaza," said Tolajian.
