If you want to feel like actually piloting the thing, a HOTAS is a must. You will never regret it (I use the Logitech X52). I've been playing Elite for many years, and nothing can beat a HOTAS and VR with this game. I also use a XBOX controller to control the free camera and on foot stuff - especially as Odyssey switches to 2D when you disembark the ship. So when on foot I just switch to free cam, put it behind my commander and thus can stay in VR 3D mode :D I would not recommend doing actual combat missions this way, but for planetary exploration it works just fine!
The Logitech flight stick was what we were looking into getting as well. Is there anything you don’t like about it or wish you would have done differently with your setup?
@@abelireviews i also use an x52. in my personal experience, theres nothing i don't like/prefer about using it over a keyboard/mouse or gamepad. it really is the best way to experience the game!
@@abelireviews I perfectly OK with it, if you want to step it up with even more buttons you can look at the x56, there's also a detailed review about that by DowntoEarthAstronomy on UA-cam. If you want to spend a lot of cash, you can look into the Virpil components - top notch quality, but very expensive. I am perfectly happy with my setup, the X52 has never let me down.
@DesGeretGetNet thanks again for the description and recommendations. We will keep you posted in the new year when we get one. Appreciate you taking the time to share.
To access booze cruise station instead to pay 5 billions for carrier, is there is possibility to get carried by fleet carrier over there or as we see on video a python or anaconda could make it too ?
Only a Fleet Carrier is capable of making the jump. One of the largest player-run organizations is the Pilot Trade Network (PTN), which provides direct flights to the Booze Cruise event. Google “Elite Dangerous PTN" for a link to their website, and when you find their website, you can join their Discord channel. They make announcements there for all kinds of events.
my ED controlling devices are as follows: Thrustmaster Warthog throttle and stick; Thrustmaster Flight Rudder Pedals; Track IR V; Voice attack; keyboard and mouse.
@@abelireviews I couldn't play without ALL these peripherals every time. Immersion is just that much better. I plan to upgrade to VR, and complete the experience, however, TIR is pretty good as well. The Pedals are actually overkill as ED pilot uses a joystick twist, but I'm a flightsim / DCS World / IL-2 Sturmovik refugee so might as well use them. I have no idea how folks play with a controller.... I could never get the feel.
We haven’t had any issues with the controller. But it makes sense that the more gear you use, the more immersive the experience. We looked into getting a flight stick in the new year.
Congratulations, and welcome to Elite Dangerous! As a new pilot navigating the stars, you're in for an adventure. The Booze Cruise is a special event at Rackham’s Peak, a space station located in the HIP 58832 system, 5,000 light-years above the galactic plane. The journey to HIP 58832 can only be reached by a Fleet Carrier and can be enjoyed solo. If you are interested, we have made multiple how-to videos about Elite Dangerous on this channel. Also, if you have additional questions, feel free to reach out.
It typically happens one time per month. Although the Pilot Trade Network is taking a break at the moment. When they start again we will post about it here.
Hello in waiting to do booze cruise what do you think about the Anaconda because im looking for good ship and do there are other kinds in other systems and galaxies ?
We love our Anaconda. It’s a highly versatile ship. It’s excellent at combat, exploration, and trading. The base price is in the neighborhood of 146 million credits, and it will cost even more to pay for all the upgrades. Another favorite ship of ours is the Krait MkII. It's a perfect balance of speed, agility, and firepower. Making it a solid choice for combat, piracy, and completing missions. Its base price is approximately 45 million credits. Currently, there are 36 playable ships and a handful of playable fighters. If you are interested, we would be happy to provide additional recommendations. It all depends on how many credits you want to spend and what you want to use the spaceship for.
Hi again i have a question, i read recently that elite dangerous Odyssey is available only for pc not for consoles it was written in 2021 i think does it still the same which means i couldn't land to scan plant on planets to earn lot of money and don't know the difference between Odyssey and Horizon could you enlight me please ?
@pierre-yvesdurand6749 That is correct; Elite Dangerous: Odyssey is available only on PC and introduces on-foot exploration, enhanced planetary details, additional mission types, and first-person combat. Elite Dangerous: Horizons is available on PC and console, focusing on vehicle-based activities, and lacks Odyssey’s advanced exploration and additional features.
As far as having the money for upkeep -- once you're a billionaire -- 30 million a week (my upkeep cost) shouldn't be an issue. As explained on yesterdays video, allying yourself with a local faction creates this sort of market in the bubble where you can have access to it anytime you need credit infusion. Like last night for instance, Nakamura needed 1400 tones of Bertrandite (two orders) for 50 million each. I was able to complete both in just TWO RUNS with the Type-9 netting well over 70 million credits profit. That's over two weeks of upkeep just off that. You need to find a viable way to make mass credits to fund your endeavors -- not "one offs", such as the cruise you're on. You're still well below fleet carrier monies anyway. Once you attain that much, upkeep money is a drop in the bucket you probably don't see at all in the grand scheme (I've paid my NPC pilot over a billion credits at this point 🤑)
Thank you for your perspective on fleet carrier upkeep. That makes sense once you push past the initial cost and find a more consistent source of income. We will consider your recommendations if we decide to buy a fleet carrier in the future.
@@abelireviews "If" 👈🤣 Just on the content creation side alone it would be worth the investment. You wouldn't have to be at someone else's mercy, you'd be free to create your own narrative (content) anywhere in the galaxy. Imagine if you two had your own carrier out there on that cruise, full of wine you brought from the Bubble...??? Why be the hauler when you can be the SUPPLIER. I'll tell you one thing; you wouldn't be worried about "weekly upkeep". Look into fleet carrier markets -- how you can set up your own commodity store, and have the whole operation bankroll itself.
Thank you for the insights into fleet carrier ownership. It’s something we will seriously consider. Outside of the weekly expenses, mining has never been a portion of the Elite Dangerous experience we have engaged with. Is it true you need to mine for fuel, or is that something that can be purchased?
I do lot of contract to earn money my target is 146 millions for Anaconda but im interesting about your relevant proposition to give me all information about those ship to take final decision ,and hope you could tell me several location where to find class 7,and 8 modules to get more powerfull

You bet! Next time the event starts. We will announce it on our channel as well.
OK, cool
Mahalanja is a good place
Where is that located?
