🍰Looks like a piece of cake to set up, and you demonstrate that well as always. Too bad there is no shop heater function. 🐧😊Thanks for the video Frank!😁
😆 Thanks Chris. I'm sure if I left it running unattended it has the potential to heat up the workshop in an "unscheduled thermal event" kind of way 😆. Lets hope that never happens 😆. Thanks for watching mate 😁👍
Hi Jose, i don't think i cover that in this video. But I do show you how in my latest video on the Alpha MK2 :- ua-cam.com/video/tZjhcpjRoW0/v-deo.htmlsi=kEL9fFD-mtTX5-l8 At about 41 minutes in, the principle is the same. Hope that helps. Thanks for watching 😁👍
Hi Frank, Look's like your enjoying your new Algolaser all through your lap top or phone, What's is like compared to your other laser. As always a good demonstration and a great video ,catch you soon take care😁👍
Hi Shaun. Its all good so far. I had to use it in an emergency this evening ( a request for a quick snowman template) and it worked great. Very simular quality and function to my Sculpfun S9 (I need to use it a bit more now), but will be doing a direct comparison video in the near future... just need to find some time 😆😆. Thanks for watching mate 😁👍
@andreaknoll9257 😁 Hi Andrea. From what I remember. Go to carving then albums. When you first go in to it it asks for permission. Just allow when using the App. Then you can select any photo on your phone. Then you can edit it on your phone then burn it. I tend to use Lightburn more now, but it can be done on your phone. I hope that helps. Thanks for watching 😁👍
Great video. Definitely was an easy set up in terms of connection. I did mess up with the app a bit trying to do it live without any practice first, but slowly getting more familiar with it all. Currently prefer lightburn over the app, but need to practice with both I guess.
"I need your help. Which Windows is the algoLaser machine software compatible with? The 30-day free version can't connect the computer to the machine kit?"
😁 Hi Nhelaspina, if your referring to "Lightburn" software providing you have downloaded the correct version it should be compatible with anything from Windows 7 or later 🤔. Please ensure you have the correct 32 or 64 bit version. Also for the Algo laser ensure when your installing you select the correct type of laser (G-code). It may be worth installing the Algo laser mobile app just to get yourself connected and up and running so you can check the laser is actually working correctly. The Lightburn software is not made by Algo Laser but it is compatible with it and still the best software in my opinion. I hope that helps. Thanks for watching 😁 👍
@@holybebermudez8657 hi Holybe. You should be able to connect the DIY kit directly to the Algolaser app. As long as your mobile device is connected to your WiFi and the DIY kit is powered up (the app will search for devices). Hope that helps. Thanks for watching 😁👍
Hello friend, I see that you have an Algolaser, have you engraved mirror-type stainless steel? What do you recommend since I once damaged a module trying to engrave stainless steel?
😁 Hi Fabrizio, I'm afraid I haven't used it for engraving any kind of metal. The laser is only a 5W laser so I think I will wait until I get at least a 10W laser before I try any metal engraving. Thanks for watching 😁 👍
Hi Frank. Reason for buying this laser? Is it better than the other. Bed size looks the same? Whats the cost of both and what model would you recommend? Thanks.
😁 Hi John. This laser was sent to me for the purpose of review by AlgoLaser. It has some features that the Sculpfun haven't got, so although they are very simular there are a couple of differences. I will be doing a direct comparison video soon, so watch this space 😁. Thanks for watching 😁 👍
And now try to find the firmware for the 10 Watt laser. It is not available on the official website. For some reason, the firmware flew off and I had to look for it, but I still found it and put it on my engraver, now everything works fine again. My breakdown looked like this: When the power button was pressed, two dins on the panel lit up and immediately went out, flashing helped! My first Algo engraver just went out, I had to return it under warranty, after buying a new one, a new problem happened immediately, so be very careful when choosing the Algo laser!

So you cannot use mobile phone unless the driver is installed on the pc? Is that so?

@@frankslittleworkshop Thank you Frank.
please tell me, how can I find out the password for the laser when connecting via phone?
🤔 You will need your WiFi password which you can normally find on the back of your router. Hope that helps 😁👍
