Who are the other ones who got the best rating ever (tied with Niko but more prestigious+ way more rounds played) in one of the most prestigious tournament tho ? All of that at 17 for their first big LAN. Well the answer is easy since it was the best rating ever, not just the best for his age
@@heroe1486 sure but you have to remember that mr12 increases the highs and lows of ratings. The fact that we have never seen anything like him doesnt mean that he cant fall off. Niko is niko not because he outaims everyone. He is niko because he is better at everything

i mean, he's awp'ing, so its not that bad to not buy kevlar, since enemies have ak's which means that even if you spend money for kevlar, you'll still get 1 tapped, and the awp 1 shots to the body, so it's a really good situation for an awper
he rotates at light speed, making it feel like he's just everywhere imo
this sort of duck peeking corners was very common in 1.6.
It was and IS still very broken if you don't play that often, gives the oponents very short time to shoot the head
i think he transferred that from 1.6 to cs2, doesnt seem the same since the animation is slower but technically is the same..
Binding crouching to mouse wheel down and spamming it when peeking was OP in 1.6
Anyone here remember the good old days when crouch was a scroll bind and you'd spam it every time you peeked? Feels like Donk is doing that but the CS2 version.

@@jaydeshmukh4150 yep, players with good movement were so awkward to spectate in 3rd person 😅 between the crouch spam and the bhopping it looked more like Mario than a tactical shooter.
Crouch spam hop was also silent too… it was banned in leagues, but it wasn’t really enforceable when you just tapped it once when you peaked a corner… so yes even more like old 1.6 lol
@@WendalsWorldnot completely silent, but you heard only every second step. No need for binding the scroll wheel either, it was just well timed double taps on crouch. The Russians did it first, that’s why it was called Russia walking (or russenduck in Germany).

What I also notice about donks movement is that he constantly ducks and stands up again. (I wrote that before I saw the entire video and you basically talked about it when he peeks. He also does that midfight tho)
To be fair, doing that mid fight is like playing a roulette. People spray to hit your body, so crouching lets them hit random headshot.
@@assetaden6662 most players have crosshair placement at headshot level, you crouch they will most likely shoot over your head.
@@Loading_DLC it really depends on the skill of your lobbies, ofc pros go for headshots but public match teammates often spray in low-mid ranks
A lot of that talk is about Donk, I was happy to see you talk about the info his team gets him. Team Spirit is playing really well as a team, they know everyones strengths and weaknesses and place people accordingly. The first time we saw how valuable these small behind the scenes decisions were, was on vertigo vs Mousesports. Who abused the bad decision of donk sitting at B, donk dropped his worst map and the rest of the team fell flat.
thats a crazy fact tho, zywoo got 4 2.0+ ratings in his prime year (stats wise his best rating and best achievements and u could say eyetest only 2019 was arguably better) while donk in his first big event got 6 2.0 ratings (yes ik cs2 mr12 and everything but then why couldnt zywoo rack up more 2.0 ratings at iem syd blast fall and blast worlds, thats 3 events and donk only has 1 cs2 big event) also s1mple had down year so im actually interested how many 2.0 maps he had in 2018 2021 etc (ofc in 2018 there was atleast 5 more events played cause of starseries and eleague etc so we have to keep that in mind as now we only got esl and blast and occasional gamers 8 or someshit)

played 1.6 since 2015 nonstop till 2022, playing it almost everyday now for like 2-3 hours, and it sucks. But if you find classic server with plugin that slightly increase accuracy, and plugin removing double duck the 1.6 is the best game (fps shooter(tactical shooter)) ever
Never thought I would see even more next level mechanics after all these years.
I've seen Donk and Zywoo do this a lot, they peek and they seemingly know where opponents they are peeking into are expecting them to counter strafe, so they do it before that and even slightly go to the side they came from while shooting. It makes people miss so damn much, they seemingly know exact timings of when will people re-adjust the aim to their weird peek and they move on those timings.

Nah legit, not saying he’s cheating but I’ve been re-watching a lotta his matches and he’s sus asf. He ALWAYS knows where teams are going, he almost always rotates and perfectly positions himself against the other team, it’s legit crazy. His aim is great but I don’t think it’s generationally special, it’s his game sense that’s genuinely unreal. He’s almost always in the most advantageous position possible. I always thought Zywoo had the best game sense I’d ever seen but donk might be even a level above him.

Donk's bringing back the crouch aim like he's a 1.5 casual.
To do what donk is doing you need insane reaction time and god-level hand-eye coordination, microadjustments, and right-left sync. Is there an artificial way to preserve these after someone got through his teenage times? Most of the things he is doing will fade heavily with his age. happened to a lot players.
kid has the unpredictable movement, knows lots about taking a microsecond more before peeking, has beautiful fluid and crisp aim, monster gamesense, and also the monster ass confidence.

maybe, but not much. he has more hours than older players. he is passed the 10000 hour mastery level in hours of practice as it is said and actually almost 14,000 hours currently. this is what mastery truly is, and many many players just have yet to achieve it even in the pro level. even older than him already. he has a lot of free time because he is 17, and he chose to put it to this obviously. and very seriously.

I never heard about poppinpeek before today, but it's something I've been doing in CS for many years. I think many players can relate to that. It's a great way to throw people off, especially if you are jiggle peeking.

That tap crouch peek is a relic from 1.6
another thing is probably the tilt factor, if he peeks right when the enemy stops looking, thats gonna tilt them and cause them to miss even more
Crouch peeking was a thing in Source, it made people rage hard. I hadn't really thought about it since valve put the limit on spamming crouch in Source, but I guess its a thing again.

I had like 150h ( i know, crazy) in cs1.6 about 20 years ago or so, but i distinctly remember people doing (tap)crouch. Its not new, or novel. I always assumed its only to move head level, and never even thought of it slowing you down. Wow

I think comparing him to others to know if he'll fall off is pointless, the guy got the best rating EVER (tied with Niko but more prestigious tournament and way more rounds) in a prestigious tournament, and all of that at 17 for his first big LAN, needless to say nobody has done that since it's not even a best perf "for his age" but a best perf ever, it's like if somone scored 3 goals each match in the champions league or idk 40 points per match in the playoffs finals then won, at 17, it just never happened

These kind of 'off meta' timings are like my one skillset in the game, bad mechanics, but I'm damn irritating to play against. That's a quote. 1v1d a buddy raaaanks higher than me, but held my own because I'd change cover when they reload or repeak the wrong side of the box to what they were expecting. He said he could not preaim me because he didn't know when or where I'd show my face. It's a fun bonus to have to your game.

I do this crouch to slow myself down for completely wrong reasons, i do it when someone peeks me when im not expecting it while im running forwards because its slow moving my finger from W to S, been doing it for years but in a 0 iq way

when you crouch as a CT your head also moves slightly to the left. (if you're looking at the player)
also he moves that way aswell. i'd say people tend to move left as they're pressing CTRL or SHIFT to crouch so they tend to move to the left.
I think donk moves to the right (or if you're looking at the player, to the left)
the ak spray pattern also goes off to the right after 4/5 bullets

The number one thing I see is that while his aim is good, what makes him better than every other 17yo aimer is perfect timing play, down to the ms timing after having decided to take a duel. "hes always where he needs to be" absolutely will be an insane top5/10 player for a decade if he is able to adapt and grow - its an impressive full package right now but even the best package has to keep adjusting. Players who last at the top as star players are always looking for the way they can avoid being found out.
Hes also being insanely well set up by his team right now.
