I personally dislike particles because they could really make your scene very hard to deal with... and so i always try to avoid it... for concept art this method i find is easier and have mroe control over than particles but maybe for 3d particles is best
It seems like the UV's get really messed up when trying to export the tree trunk after applying the mesh.
Do you think its better to not use a particular system on the trees?
