    as an editor I can agree, when I put effort into my edits and take ages, weeks even they fail to hit 100 veiws and when I make popular styles no matter what audio or contents it blows up, gaining crazy veiws compared to my usual, it takes the fun from editing and seeing accounts get big for panning on a few images rlly annoys me

      @@Peoplephobicweirdo I can imagine this is really frustrating for editors🙈 But, look at the bright side. Now you can post a lot more videos in far less time so your channel can grow faster😃

    Another great one Chante🎉!
    I'm actually taking this approach every two weeks instead of one

    • @chantewalt
      @chantewalt  Місяць тому +1

      @@thetechpreneur Awesome!😁 If you don't have the bandwidth for one long-form per week, you could always do one long-form video one week and a Shorts in the next week. So, then it's long-form, Shorts, long-form, Shorts, and so on😃 Just a suggestion. I'm also considering working more Shorts into my strategy. But, long-form will still be my main focus because they're very effective.

      @@chantewalt Great advice also becareful with shorts this early on it can mess up your channel but maybe too small

    • @chantewalt
      @chantewalt  Місяць тому +1

      @thetechpreneur Yes, I've heard Shorts can be dangerous. But, I think it's all about balance. As long as we keep posting a lot of long-form videos (with Shorts in between), we should be good😃

    • @ArchanaZenfulGlow
      @ArchanaZenfulGlow Місяць тому

      @@chantewalt wait why are shorts risky?

    • @chantewalt
      @chantewalt  Місяць тому

      @ArchanaZenfulGlow I've seen (and heard) from several creators saying that posting a lot of Shorts has dratically decreased the reach they get on their long-form videos. Almost as if UA-cam only pushes their Shorts🙈. But, that only seems to happen when creators post waaayyy more Shorts than they do long-form videos. That's why I believe you need a balance. (I'd say around 1 long-form video for every Short you post).

    I'm committed to posting "low effort" videos to my horror reaction channel every day for a whole year! So far the stats are pretty decent and I can see the channel is gaining some traction. I know it's not much but I'll sometimes get over 30 views within a day of posting, and I think it's an awesome start seeing as it's only been a month. I'm also not overthinking anything. I'm creating strong titles and thumbnails based off a simple formula and just sharing my thoughts as I go while watching the scary videos. Adding my own music is what will make me stand out. Maybe this will pop off for me in the next year, I'm sincerely hoping.. I get that you shouldn't expect much in the first few months. But this is in MUCH more alignment for me than my last venture with Pinterest (which I ended up quitting so I could focus on this) and the countless of other things I've tried. Also, has anyone told you how adorable you are? ;) haha

    How many hours do you spend on each task in the process: scripting, filming, thumbnail creation, editing, etc.?

    • @chantewalt
      @chantewalt  Місяць тому

      @@travelingdementiacaregiver It depends. Some videos take a bit longer than others. But, I try to simplify everything. Scripting takes me about 30min, recording takes about 45min, editing takes about 3 hours, and thumbnail design takes about 30min. So, around 4-5 hours per video😃 In the past, a single video used to take me 14+ hours. How long do your videos take?

    From what you explained in your video and based on the graph you showed, it doesn't quite seem to reflect exponential growth. Typically, exponential growth is a steady, accelerating rise over time, where each increase is proportionally larger than the previous one. In your graph, there are noticeable spikes followed by drop-offs, which suggests bursts of activity rather than a continuous, exponential upward trend. Anyway, just saying! I hope you find this comment constructive and wish you all the best with your channel's growth..

    • @chantewalt
      @chantewalt  22 дні тому

      Thank you for you comment😊 The thing is, I'm not growing my channel to be a UA-camr. Instead, I'm growing my channel as a business, so I can make passive income from it. In the last 4.5 months, I've made close to $1,000 from my channel (without adsense). And this is with a very small channel.
      I'm not aiming to post videos that get millions of views. That's not my strategy at all. Instead, I want to get the RIGHT viewers to view my content and build my passive digital products and funnels on the side. I'm still working full-time, so I'm only able to dedicate a couple of hours every week to my channel. So, the growth I've experience may not seem like much, but it has made all the difference in my life and I can just imagine what the future holds.
      Basically, I'm not concerned about the spikes and drop-offs since my main strategy isn't to get paid through adsense. Make sense? 😀

    Hi ! How can i apply this to clothing videos?

    • @chantewalt
      @chantewalt  22 дні тому

      Hey Drew😀 Great question! There are different ways you could apply low-effort videos to a clothing channel (here, I'm talking specifically about talking head videos where you sit in front of the camera and speak):
      1. You can create educational videos like “Top 5 Fashion Mistakes to Avoid” or “My Top 3 Go-To Outfits.” and show pictures on the screen as you're talking.
      2. Answer common questions like “How do I find my style?” or “What’s the best way to shop for basics?”
      3. React to celebrity outfits, fashion week looks, or viral trends. You can pull up pictures or videos on-screen while you share your thoughts.
      There are many other things you can do too. Let me know if this helps😊

      Yes, I hear you. Growth can be slow. And yes, it takes commitment. If your views are very slow, try finding trending video topics and creating similar videos on your channel😀.
