Thank you for the tip! Wife was going to call plumber; it was a 30 second fix for now. Our faucet is old, we’ll try to ride it another couple years before replacing.

Thanks boss. Woke up on my day off to do date night's dishes, and the water starts pouring out over my feet. Was going nuts trying to find the leak, and then you show me the stupid little reason 😂 appreciate it.

You have saved me a fortune in call out charges and a plumber who would have no doubt cost me an arm. Simple solution and my tap which caused a lot of damage under my sink, has now been fixed! Many thanks

Like you said pretty straight forward. Mine was leaking just like yours and your video help me save $$. All I need was too tighten down the bridge of the fosset head..
    Thanks

Thank you - this was easy to see and understand. Builder hired world's worst plumber when they did my kitchen. My 3rd different leak issue!

Awesome. I might still have to take mine apart and replace the rubber thing (washer?), but this is a great fallback plan to have in mind. Thanks!

Talk about an invisible leak. When you put everything together you can’t see it dripping out. I saw water on the drywall as I was going downstairs. The damage wasn’t too bad but sure was a tough one to find. Glad you got yours before you had that heavy water damage.

Mine doesn't leak under the sprayer itself , it leaks on the other end of the hose that connects to a connector piece on the rod of the faucet, but is it the same idea what you just showed ?

Hi there - here is the answer to MY QUESTION of "how to take out the hose from the faucet handle". After I received a NEW faucet and Hose from American Standard, and REPLACED it, I looked at the old hose and used a Bent Nose Pliers to UNSCREW the hose from the handle. Forget about "rusty nail", this was my answer and it worked. the O Ring was defective. Now I have a spare one.

ok here's a stupid question, this is exactly my hose, how do you take it off? does it just unscrew?

  • @mariosoria8574

How do you remove the hose from the handle to inspect the Ring gasket condition. You showed only AFTER you'd taken it out. Do I use a nail to move the gold color weird looking ring counter clockwise? I tried just pulling it out but it does not work. Please help.

When I followed where the leak was, I went from my sprayer hose that connected to some kind of connector piece and above the end of the sprayer hose the other end of the connector connected to a rod that leads to faucet

I am looking for hose that is identical to the one your working on but can’t find one. Could you tell me the hose manufacturer and where I could purchase one? My faucet is American Standard but I don’t know the model number. What is the faucet brand you are working on in the video? Any help would be appreciated.
