The history this man just gave is incomparable,he spoke so eloquent, intelligent,and very intilectual,trust me, he took it to another level,this is one I have to watch over,to have it sink in,I felt that chill when he spoke of president brown, because people in my life was there for me like that,I wish other artist could somewhat show love for theses interviews in the comments section, teach, you was so rapped up in the interview that you never even allow him to do 3 or 4 of his master hits,but we understand, sometimes when these artist are interviewed,you wish you could meet them in person and say thank you for great music,that's why touring is important so you support them on their journey of this music that we love so much.

U Brown is probably Teacher U-Roy´s biggest disciple. Starsky & Hutch will forever be my favorite U Brown tune. I'd love to hear his story; am very glad that Teach is giving me yet another chance to go back down memory lane.
I thought DJ trinity did that in the early 70s, tell me more please
@@neilgibbons2532 ... that would be late 70's; yes, Trinity's cut preceded U Brown's and was a bigger hit. But as a yute I preferred U Brown's version because , IMO, the riddim that Yabby You (?) dem laid down was wickeder than Death in the Arena

As a 70s teen U Brown was my favourite DJ. One of my firsf 45s was Black Princess. I remember having cassettes full of U Brown chanting at dances. My first U Brown dance was at Cornwall Beach in MoBay. Real foundation DJ.

I remember u doing a tune called Step it inna Jah Jah land. Believe it was a disco 45 but can't recall the singer. You were so steady on the rhythms, especially Mr. Fisherman and Black Princess.

Blessings to my idol my mentor my biggest influence The teacher Daddy U Brown.
Just to let everyone know !!! U Brown is the first artist I really sit down and listen to when I was about 8 years old and know within myself that I wanted to do this great thing we call music. In the late 70’s I performed my first school concert where I sings 3 of Daddy Brown songs and I was the talk of my school for the rest of the year.
My favourite song from him I was listening this interview and he never mentioned it and I know it’s because he has so many hits under his belt. The track entitled ( so me chat you rock ) I love that song up til this blessed day. Big ups to a real legend and a iconic reggae star U Brown. Long life health and strength my teacha 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
"The border"with the late great Gregory Isaac, and "keep on knocking" with the late great Jacob Miller. U Brown are one of the greats. Respect legend.

My introduction to U Browns music was when he signed with the major label Virgin Records, I used to trouble my Dads record collection, I found 2 U Brown albums Mr Brown Something & Can’t Keep A Good Man Down, I was 9 years old when they were released & ive been a fan ever since.
